My daughter has been brought up in the Methodist church and her fiance's family has always been Catholic. He has never been very active in the Catholic church and plans to join the Methodist church were they will be married. His family is putting alot of pressure on him and he is very confused. What are the beliefs of the Catholics on marrying outside their faith????

I believe that we are here to prove our worth. God has already experienced fellowship with one that turned against him (Lucifer). Now he has created us so that we can fellowship with him. But, before we can, we must show him that we trust him when we can't see him. Also, he allows us to show that we are trustworthy with the things he gives us, as well as showing we place him above those things we desire to have. This proves our faith.

Most don't believe because they can't get beyond their own limited understanding. They fail to believe that they have purpose. To accept the fact that one will live and die (period) leaves no space for growth and knowledge, as well as purpose. That means the individual has lowered their self to 'below' the level of a leaf. To only believe in what you see allows you to be easily fooled by the illusions of the deceiver.

Belief in God is more than what you can't see. It's belief that you will become something more... greater.

Ur thoughts?

I have known a few mormons in my lifetime, and they seem to be ok folks. However this story is shocking, a parent not allowed at the wedding because she is not a mormon. Someones kid getting married and the church tells them the parent cant attend the wedding because she is not a mormon. What? I have been to a few weddings in my time as well and I have never heard of someones parent not being allowed to attend because of an issue with their faith. Was she allowed to attend her own wedding as she is not Mormon but the father is?

The Bible mentions that there were giants before the Flood. The Flood killed off the giants, so you would think that there would be fossils of them and there ARE.

If you go on the internet and do a search on giant human fossils, you will see photos of them.

The reason you don't hear about this is because the mainstream scientists want you to believe in evolution (which is a religion).

They keep this information hidden from the public. Science has almost NO credibility with me.

Evolution can't be true because the earth is only 6,000 years old.

Don't you agree?

Why does the Catholics do the "Sign of the Cross"?
Is it commanded by God to make a Sign of the Cross before and after praying? Does the early Christians did it too? Is it written in the Holy Scriptures?

1. Don't do this stuff because it's bad.
2. Do this other stuff because it's good.
3. If you don't devote your life to this, you'll be sorry.
4. If you devote your life to this, you'll be glad you did.
5. Tell your whole family and all your friend about all of this.

READ:
It is true that "Jesus" "Mary" and "Matthew" were common names in that period...BUT the Discovery Channel had a statistics expert on last night, and he concluded the following:

Considering the limestone case read "Jesus son of Joseph", and was buried with another which read "Mary" (his mother), another that said "Matthew" (Mary's kin), and "Jose" (Jesus' brother, whose name was ENTIRELY UNIQUE at that time, such as someone today being named "Machiste" or something)...and considering the use of limestone coffins was only used for a 100 year period which included Jesus' death-date...

...the chance of there being another "Jesus son of Joseph" with mother Mary and brother Jose from the same location at the same time period (less than a century) in a world with a MUCH smaller population than today...would be...impossible. Are there really people still denying this?

I think so.

The Bible proves that there were giant creatures back then.

The earth is only 6,000 years old, so if you do the math dinosaurs would have to have lived during the time of humans.

I think people just hunted them to extinction.

How do we know this?

Easy. Go to a creation website. They show you proof that the earth is young. There is scientific proof that it can't be more than 6,000 or 7,000 years old.

Also, if you look at the genealogy of the Bible it shows you how old the earth is. Just add up all the generations after Adam and you come up with that number.

I'm tired about people teaching the lie of evolution in school. Evolution comes from Satan.

Luckily, there is one university that teaches the truth that humans lived with dinosaurs. I forget the name, but I'm glad they have the courage to teach it.

Do you agree? Don't you think we should teach this in public schools?
