It may not be the Devil per se, but definitely an opposite form must be there. Where there is Light , Darkness is bound to be a possibility. Otherwise how could an all loving entity, create a vast universe, and let a negative harmful force run free all over the world and constantly bring suffering and pain to the very beings he had created and claim to love beyond all doubt?
We wouldnt even do that to our pets, much less our children... and THIS is in reference to a being far more superior than us in expression of Ultimate Love and Kindness... and the parent to all of humanity.

The Gothic Angel is correct in stating that you're confusing spiritual issues with newtonian physics. Newton's law of physics is a HUMAN observation that has held true so far, but his observation of physical matter cannot be applied to the spiritual/metaphysical, especially when dealing with the Creator. The Devil is a rogue angel who turned away from serving God because he allowed himself to desire the kind of worship that belonged to God. He is not equal to God, rather, he is vastly inferior and his time to be subdued and executed is approaching.

The Devil is a flea to God.There must be some infinite universal law that God either made Himself or follows.That's about as equal as a power could get to Him.

God is the supreme power and our actions are responsible for our destiny. God gives us choices, devil distracts us so that we never achieve what god has sent us for. Devil resides in the form of confusion, inaction, laziness, etc. We also see devil in the form of jealousy, anger, hatred, greed, hunger for power etc....However, it's our will power and goodness that CAN beat this DEVIL.

A clever word play to project good and evil onto our psyche. God and Devil by any other name would be less effective.
