Yes, of course. This is my outlet so when I do go back to work, I have gotten rid of my anger and resentment and CAN be nicer. When I fill back up with hatred, I come here and vent. Hey, it's nice to be able to vent. At work, you cannot because some diversity nut will tell on you like a little 4 year old child just to see someone get in to trouble. See, I just vented about diversity kooks in the workplace. I can now go back to work and be nicer to them.

Some people, sure. Others are jerks all day to everybody, virtual and actual.
Personally, I work in an office, and there are certain things you don't talk about in an office setting - e.g. politics and religion - if you know what's good for you. (Is this hypocrisy? If so, it's endorsed and encouraged by society.) No such restraints exist here on Yahoo Answers...lol. (Yeah, I know, you can be "reported" and get a "violation," but this is totally based on how many people complain about a given post - the content itself has nothing to do with it, whether it actually violates the TOS or not.) Some people may very well construe some of my answers as "hateful," whereas I see them as merely truthful. One man's meat is another man's poison, and one man's religion is another man's long-exploded mythology.
P.S. - yeah, I said "I hate you"...lol. And I got a violation for it! No biggie. It was worth it. What I meant by that euphemism...lol...was that I hate it when "conservatives" pretend that the abortion thing is somehow the Democrat's issue to deal with. Legal abortion is decided law. It comes up every election cycle because "conservatives" exploit it to rally their base, many of whom don't even glance at any other issue. But that's another question!

I have no problems saying in person what I say on the computer. I am what I am. But I also don't have problems with people in real life, but people on the Internet seem to have some issues with me. I guess having an opinion that isn't black or white is a bad thing.....?

Great question - I hope I don't have two faces.
It kind of seems that your point likely hits close to home for some folks in the R&S section.
JonJon - are you the same guy that said 'I hate you' to my abortion question to Christian Democrats a couple of weeks ago? No big deal either way, but kind of funny.

Bashing is enjoying the criticism given to another. No one should do that, but we all do. The truth should always be spoken in love.

Disagreeing is not bashing. Bashing is unsupported irrational hatred of something one cannot understand. Kind of like Special K's bashing of Christians!

Actually, I consider myself a pretty compassionate and liberal guy, but I'm certainly guilty of that often. It depends I suppose on the circumstance and my company.
