no.. this 'discovery' was made 24 years ago.. and discarded as fake back then... so my opinion has not changed.. it is still false... they will not find Jesus' bones ever as he is not in a tomb...

Yes, I do think that. I thought they did a good job showing that the possibility is there and the archaeological community is not embracing the find and need to do some serious work to see without a doubt if it is or not. There are too many "Coincidences" for this not to be seriously looked at. With the original find in 1980 they only had 3 days to excavates the area...they never even took down the literal writing on the wall! THEN it took them over SIXTEEN YEARS to even do a report on the find...while loosing one of the boxes that were found there.
IMO, what happened is that they were in a hurry and missed vital information which would provide claims that without a doubt it was Jesus. Now they don't want to be proven to be the archaeologists which LOST the tomb. There needs to be a serious dig of the area and scientists need to do research to see if they are missing anything that is obvious! Soon, before the Church tries to cover it up!

Certainly not; there's no evidence that He was buried with anyone else and they have no way of genetically validating anything. Quite frankly, even IF this was Jesus' tomb, and He didn't rise from the dead, then the disciples would've taken the body in order to carry on the faith. But, the eyewitness accounts of His resurrection really negate the need to fake it.
People can say what they want about Christianity being a fraud or a scam; what they cannot do is argue with the power of Christ in people's lives.

No. Throughout history these types of things have come up but there is no proof for this. As someone posted earlier, these names such as Jesus, Joseph, Mary were very common. It would be like going to a cemetery and finding a stone marker with the last name Einstein and thinking you had found Albert.

no HE was buried in a borrowed tomb and HE left no bones behind. HE was never married and had no children. why be so eager to believe this crap when the BIBLE has been around for ever? Why not believe it what it says without trying to find some back door into Heaven?

That tomb was found in 1980. The reason you never heard about it before is that all true archeologists know that it has no significance. Now, 27 years later some people are trying to make money off of it.
It's a fake.

They've certainly got enough of a case to keep researching. ALSO, anymore tombs uncovered in Jerusalem ought to be handled by more alert escavators.

Jesus probably wasn't a single person, he was an amalgamation of many popular myths that were around and powerful, rulers, in order to be effective rolled up all those myths into a clay figure called Jesus.

Like all the other great discoveries or revelations that 'prove' the Bible wrong it will turn out to be false.
Then someone else will decide they want to sell a book or make a film and lots of money then they will 'find' something else which again will turn out to be false.
Of course these great discoveries only make money because soooo many people want to see the Bible proved wrong and are willing to pay for these books and films, my advice save your money, it wont be proved wrong.

No..........not the Son of God.
Maybe a Jesus.....a Mary.....a Joseph....but these names were common at the time. Also, these tombs and boxes (don't know the real term) were for the wealthy.

No. I doubt it would ever be possible to prove that any particular tomb belonged to Jesus, even if we could agree that his remains are still on this earth.
