Not at all. I have found Christianity to be logically coherent. My potential was diluted when my life was dedicated to pleasing myself.

There is only one truth. lol, What do you mean by "different truth"? And no, I don't think that We're diluting our true potential. Look at the Buddhists. They spend their whole lives seeking truth, not necessarily meaning they find it. Trying to tell a non-Christian what it's like having a relationship with God, is like telling a rock how to jump. It won't understand you. True Christianity is an existential knowledge, meaning you have to experience it to know what it is. We aren't closing the door on logic and intellect. Just look at you avatar. Mr. T. Did you know that he's a christian? If you don't believe me, look it up. He's on TBN all the time.

JIBBA JABBA, if you think in such a way about us Christians you have obviously gotta read more apologetics books. They will seriously make an impact on your intelligence and make you THINK! Not only that but how must one tell what true logic and intellect are? Many Christians in fact have higher IQ than many people. The priest near where I go to school has an IQ of 150. Yet he believes in God as well. I know this guy who beat up an entire school even the teachers (!!) in chess when he was 8 years old and guess what? He was a Christian. Many of the leading philosophical teachers and thinkers of the period after Christ until today are Christian and they are feared by others and their students due to their intellect.

Before you continue to stereotype, think again....Be intellectual and logical.

I do not put logic or iNtellect aside.
It plays a very important part of my physical world as a matter of fact the physical world is nothing but logic and iNtellect.
As far as the spiritual world goes...I am a Christian because I searched for the truth.

It is only from a particularly narrow point of view that Christians are closing themselves off from logic and intellect. In fact very few Christians devalue scientific information because it doesn't (at least on its surface) jibe with Christian ideas.

Simply because a few fundamentalists, Pat Robertson and Jerry Faldwel believe or condemn something doesn't mean that ALL Christians do.

Christianity is ALL about truth and grace. Real Christians have a better grasp of the truth than most people.

True Christians do not close their minds and are able to discus their beliefs. The problem is that there are so many zealots and extremists (particularly on YA) that are closed minded and very fundamentalist.

Their closed minds do not see that they are changing a religion and faith into an ideology. Indeed they probably do not understand the difference!!!

Nope. I have found the intellect and logic that I need to answer almost any question in my life. I don't need other people telling me what to believe, or trying to push their logic onto me. I also don't like it when someone tries to tell me what I believe. I use logic and intellect in my life all the time. And most of it stems from what I believe and what I have learned in my life.

Jesus refers to himself as "The Door" many times. Maybe the diluting is due to closing the wrong "Door" I only have one. That's scripture. You can't dilute the Blood. Praise God for that.
