I Know that we get kind of tired of so many religions parading around these days that we ask ourself if God himself even has established a perfect Church.
I Know that he has and I know that God has a plan for each of us to achieve peace and happiness in this life and that is what the missionaries from my church teach. They will not try to manipulate, convince, or disrespect you in any way. All they ask is a half hour of your time. They just want to share a message with you that will change you life if you let it. I promise this is not my job to do this and I'm not trying to sell anything. I'm just soliciting this question in hope to help someone receive the same joy that I have because it makes me even happier. I get nothing else out of it. Just put down your name, address, and phone number, or visit www.mormon.org
They can help your better understand
1. What comes after death.
2. If Christ directs a church today
3. How families are forever. and more

I already have a religion and I already know where I stand. But there are always some people come to our door and try to persuade me and family and others to convert or believe their religion is better. I believe everyone has freedom and I do not believe people should try to change others beliefs and make them come to their religion that just bothers me so much. Does it bother you? this person told me that I should read the bible and I told him i'm already part of other religion but he was trying to change my mind. I believe every religion is equal and everyone should practice their own religion nobody should be trying to convert people to other religion.

Don't you think that if religions were simple to understand and logical there wouldn't be much room for subjective interpretations thus less fanatical religious leaders around exploiting naive believers?

Did God really created religion only for theologians and phylosophers to understand it well enough to be able to explain it?

Thomas Jefferson believed that when a government began to be transformed into a tyranny, the citizens not only had the right, but also the responsibility to rebel against it. However, the Christian is called to bear his government as much as possible. Jesus didn't call for a revolution against Rome, although it was a cruel conquerer that oppressed Israel. On the other hand, the apostles refused to obey an order to stop preaching and teaching in Jesus' name.

Hypothetically, lets say another book was discovered that was penned by Jesus Christ himself. Before you say, "impossible", what if it contained within it, instructions on how to absolutely verify its authenticity, (let's say by causing some miraculous stellar event) and what if upon following these instructions all the Christian leaders in the world proclaimed that this book was the true word of god.

Suppose this new book told in great detail how men would someday write the bible as a way to control other men.

What if it said ALL people would be welcome into heaven, whether they followed Jesus Christ or not, no matter what religion they were (or weren't.)

Would you be capable of accepting such a book?

3 Now there was a man of the Pharisees, Nic·o·de´mus was his name, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This one came to him in the night and said to him: “Rabbi, we know that you as a teacher have come from God; for no one can perform these signs that you perform unless God is with him.” 3 In answer Jesus said to him: “Most truly I say to you, Unless anyone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nic·o·de´mus said to him: “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter into the womb of his mother a second time and be born, can he?” 5 Jesus answered: “Most truly I say to you, Unless anyone is born from water and spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 What has been born from the flesh is flesh, and what has been born from the spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel because I told you, YOU people must be born again. 8 The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone that has been born from the spirit.”
9 In answer Nic·o·de´mus said to him: “How can these things come about?” 10 In answer Jesus said to him: “Are you a teacher of Israel and yet do not know these things? 11 Most truly I say to you, What we know we speak and what we have seen we bear witness of, but YOU people do not receive the witness we give. 12 If I have told YOU earthly things and yet YOU do not believe, how will YOU believe if I tell YOU heavenly things?

(1 Corinthians 15:50) 50 However, this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit God’s kingdom, neither does corruption inherit incorruption.

(1 Corinthians 15:40-41) . . .heavenly bodies, and earthly bodies; but the glory of the heavenly bodies is one sort, and that of the earthly bodies is a different sort. 41 . . .

(1 Corinthians 15:35) . . .: “How are the dead to be raised up? Yes, with what sort of body are they coming?”

Do you actually believe every single word in the bible exactly as it is said? Are you aware there is scientific evidence against certain things in the bible? (I am not talking about evolution or creation but something like Noah's Ark, Jonah born in the stomach of a whale?

My new church. Got bored. In a thousand years this will be a world religion. Until then, I'll just go on a massive crusade & right some pretty retarded books on how you should give your soul, and a third of your property, to god. This is how you set up a religion, right? :)

I always thought baptizing was something done to little babies, or maybe adults who are "new" to God. But last night at church, there was a baptism, and I would say 40-50 people were baptized. One of the guys said that they do baptisms every few weeks, and it's usually a group of people. There weren't any babies, there were some kids, but mostly adults, a few married couples and even a whole family. All those people, it makes me wonder- do you only get baptized once? What does it mean? Do you get baptized after you've accepted God, or when you actually start feeling Him?

I cannot even come close to believing it, or feeling to presence of a holy spirit. I have asked God AND Jesus both into my heart, and I found nothing has changed my miond or beliefs, And I was sincere when I did it. I know the bible and I have read it ALOT. And I have studied many interpretation thereof, Still i cannot concede. Am I a lost cause or lost soul? Will I have a chance to speak to God about this and plead my case before I burn?

I would like to see the link of the claim that the eye on the American dollars is lucifers's sign. I have a window installed in one of my church and it has the sign of the eye in the middle. I wander what that sign stands for. Could our church is marked as Lucifer's Place. How important to me to find out this. Also couls some one post me various eye of the devil or Lucifer pictures.

The gnostics believe in the power of reasoning and intellect. Think! If you pay homage to a vengeful, mean god, what's that doing to your soul? Your behavior will reflect what you believe in, emulating what you worship and adhere to. You become a reflection of the god you adore, the god that you love. If your soul needs to fear, to hate, to be vengeful, and to worry about hellfire and damnation, than you worship the wrong god. You are then creating a vengeful, jealous god inside of you as well as outside of you.

I hope you will drop that strange god.

I personaly am very concerned for this matter. We say we want to lead people to Christ, but yet we chase them away and argue with them instead. Instead of assuming that a question asked by anyone outside of Christianity is for sarcastic purposes, treat it as a literal search for knowledge. Don't fuel the fire.
