Why can't some Muslims pet dogs, shake hands with women, eat with their left hand, and roll pant legs above your ankles before you pray? I'm reading about it in the February issue of Readers Digest.

How does one know if one has the gift of prophecy? I'm just curious. I need a little more elaboration on what the apostle Paul talks about in the new testament. Does faith have a lot to do with it?

I find that I believe in fate. But I believe that we have been given tools like split second decisions and chances so that we are able to change our fate. So that we can "Make it count"

Why the Christian Church and Muslim Mosque rebuild the follower’s brain with myth and fairytale stories? Why not educate the children and its followers with modern research's done by scientists and let the people know that there is NO GOD , but only a story books about a god. Why depend on an old book? What are our united human plans for 2007? Did we plan anything for the sake of nature and avoiding war against each other to save the material and life? Why the world leader’s not get united to finish it off by their powers to establish the truth?

I personally want to be placed on a wicker raft and drenched in carosine, then set out to sea. When I've reached a safe distance I want Someone close to me to fire a flaming arrow at my raft and set me Ablaze. Thus sending my body to the busom of valholla.

I've been a Christian for years, but I do consider myself too liberal for most "Chistians." Correct me if I'm wrong, but Christ preached that we should love our neighbors unconditionally, as we would want to be loved. He didn't say "straight" neighbors, he didn't say "conservative" neighbors, he didn't say "Christian" neighbors. He just said "neighbors." And yet there are more Christians out there who seem to be so filled with hatred towards homosexuals and liberals that I wonder if they even know the truth anymore. Don't these people realize they're pushing people away from Christianity with their thoughtless words and actions? I didn't become a Christian until my mid-twenties. This is because I didn't want to be a hate-filled hypocrate pointing my finger and parading in my own self-righteousness. When are Christians going to learn the only thing that separates us from sinners is the concept of God's grace?

If your little brother or sister committed a terrible crime, and your father came to you and said the only way your sibling could be forgiven was for you to bleed to death— would you think that was just, or fair?

When even the minds of our more intelligent children can discern the illogical injustice of the atonement doctrine, i.e., that God demanded his innocent Son must suffer, bleed, and die in the place of the guilty offenders— also his sons— how much longer will it take their mothers and fathers to see that this man-made fallacy is based on the primitive and discredited notion that forgiveness only comes from the actual shedding of blood?

Atheists get asked this all the time and I just don't understand why. Is the reason a Christian wants to live so different than why an atheist would? And BC Munkee makes a good point: why do Christians want to live when Heaven is just on the other side of death?

Discuss.

If God created the universe, then created man, how did man report the creation of the universe? No man was there to witness it. If you believe God informed man of the creation of the universe and of man, what would be the purpose, bragging rights? If he reported that to us, why does he not report himself to us now? Would it not be just as simple?

As a few side questions, why would God create man "in the image of himself" if He has no true form? Also, would he really want to associate His likeness with something as ignorant as man?

Perhaps it's an odd sense of humour to tell people the "truth" to have them share the knowledge and be executed. For an "all-knowing" being, that doesn't seem very generous.

"God works in mysterious ways" is not a valid answer because it explains nothing, nor does "just have faith."

If your answer is yes, I'll have to rethink everything.

Because Hell is forever, and there is no appeal, I will have to rethink everything if I find out that most of the souls created by God end up in Hell.
