I'm thinking of going on the said course but just wondered if anyone else has been on one or knows someone who has and if so what was it like? It seems to be 10 days of not speaking and only being spoken to by a video tape of a teacher for 45 mins a day. Is that it?

those that chose to share, i thank you, and i will be around more now that i can, lets make a good effort to continue to share, everybody, stop the anger, stop the negative stuff that just make us fight when we don't need to, we are not trying to get people to our church or temple or mosque, whatever you may call your house of worship, just keep sharing, share fully and honestly, and maybe we really can help each other along, my last question for the night before i go tobed, is....... what do you respect, and also what do you find the most disrespect, if we can enjoy one another we need to understand the lines, respect is an amazing virtue, and it is one that can bring us together, and the lack of can seperate us..........so what do you respect, and what do you find disrespectful?...... goodnight

My thought is that god created the earth the creatures on it but what if someone did discover life on a distant planet. Does that contradict Christian teachings?

I have a copy of the new world translation of the holy scriptures issued by the watchtower society. I would like to know if bible versions published by different religious movements , in this case the jehovas witnesses is in any way biased or differs significantly from lets say, those published by the catholic church. I have only discovered that in my version the word god has been substituted for Jehova.

why would He let everybody enter STRAIGHT to heaven after they die without being punished for the crimes they have committed during their lifetime? some say they will go straight to heaven regardless of the weight of their sins, as long as they accepted Jesus. where's the sense of justice in that? why would those people be allowed to get away with impunity when they made so many people suffer during their lifetime, like those who committed murder, why do some people think they will ALL go STRAIGHT to heaven once they accepted Jesus and pray the "sinner's prayer"? do you mean to say, those victims and their adversaries will see each other in heaven? wouldn't that be hell for the victims rather than heaven?

for me, i think somehow they should be punished for the consequences of their crimes. that's justice.

if someone believes in God's REAL Justice, i think he/she can never comprehend why those "sinners" will go unpunished just because they've accepted Jesus.

There to be a Big Bang there as to be atoms (life is made of atoms right, where do the atoms come from????

Evolution says that life evolved with no reason, so big bang was an explosion of something, and then the planets came to be, the stars came to be, etc. If you leave a seed on the ground the tree will grow, but you have to plant a seed, is there any plant that came or tree that doesn't have a seed to create a root?

The mathematical probability of a SINGLE CELL (atoms) coming about by chance is 1/10340,000,000, the fraction 1 divided by 1 followed by 340 million zeros! (Imagine the rest of the Universe).
Now if life changed in accordance to nature, then why did nature change? What is the cycle?
When you have a problem to solve... DON'T YOU GO TO THE BEGGINING? Man kind evolved??? Is there a proof? Some men are taller than others, some have big eyes, some have a lot of hair, does that mean that we all evolved into different creatures?
Can some one explain in a serious way?

in Islam, we know that the prophet and messenger of God, Muhammad may God be pleased , will interceed < after the permission of God first> for taking out from hell those admitted to it as result of their sins.

lessons taken from this :
1- the intercession is granted only after the permission of God.
2- only the one whom God approves and is pleased with.
3- Also, only the ones on whose behalf intercession is sought.
4- this prove that the one who believe in God and do bad deeds, bad work and mix-up bad things with the worship of God will go to hell first for punishment, then by the mecy of God will go to paradise.
also the one who do good, will not enter paradise only if God want to < by his mercy> nobody is perfect . but because he was pleased by their good works in this life, God will grant them different levels in paradise depending on their good deeds , because they can't be at the same level < even in hell, a dictator can't be with a simple thief>

Does God want us to have an unquestioned faith and obidience or does he want for us to search for wisdom and understanding to prove or disprove our faith?

If he does then can we do so in organised religion or if not then why would he create us with curiosity if we are not to use it?

Serious answers only please. I thank you in advance for your insight.

what about the genocide he committed, would he go unpunished for that, because he repented, accepted Jesus, and prayed the "sinner's prayer"? if so, where's justice for those people that Hitler had had murdered?

note: this is just a hypothetical question. i asked this because some evangelists told me that sinners will go straight to heaven after they accepted Jesus, and pray the "sinner's prayer".
