I am an atheist, yes.
I believe in the goodness of humanity and the ability of humans to work together to make the world a better place.
I believe that superstition holds us back and that religion has hindered our progress as a species since day one.
I believe that if you don't believe in a 'heaven' in another world, you are obliged to do your best to create a 'heaven' here on earth.
And I believe that the most mature and truest morals and ethics are those that each human has developed through his own careful consideration of right and wrong and good and bad, as opposed to 'something that somebody wrote in a book thousands of years ago'.

I was a christian for 20 years. I had a strong belief I was in a relationship with God. Jesus was my life. I discovered that all the facts of life are inconsistent with the extravagant fundamental teachings and claims of this belief. Therefore its not true.
I learnt that human beings are easily given over to wishfull thinking, lie and can be easily mislead, so it would be more probable that all Theology's only reflect that human frailty. So I find it very difficult to accept the possibility that any theology can be fully trustworthy. Therefore I am atheist
I believe in the possibility of Aliens being out there, but dont believe any of the alien stories are true
I reckon how evolution works may be the most amazing thing in existence, but we probably wont discover fully how it works.
I believe that what ever happened in the first place to bring me from non existence to existence (consciousess) with all of eternity, could happen again one day, somewhere, some time. But am also of the opinion that that may be just wishfull thinking.

athiests follow fact. i have always considered communism, but when i read that religion is the opiate of the mass, i had to step back, becuase iknow there is more but i realized even in a communist society there is still room for person fauth, just not orginized religion, on a political level. so i guess the answer would be science for this question, facts, proven.

Not Atheist, and not religious, just spiritual.
I don´t believe I have to "go through others" to feel connected or talk to God.
