why sometimes we want to "rescue" people emotionally talking when these people don't give a damn for what we d

why sometimes we try to help other people and it seems they don't see they are in danger and they don't listen to what we try to tell them? Why sometimes it seems we throw them a life boat but they still want to be in the deep ocean and fight against pirates and sharks instead of grabbing our hands and be rescued? Please, explain. Share your thoughts about this. Have you ever been in this situation before?

Is It Possible for a person to be Religious without Being holy? Did Jesus Warn us about it?

Who or what would it describe? Is it by Force to accept the sin or the sinner? Can you ethically and logically accept the parts of the Gospel and still be considered Christian! Give the proof!

Jesus vs Judas on providing for the poor. A tad heartless?

So I read that Jesus basically told Judas off for suggesting that money spent on an expensive foot ointment could have been used to provide food for the poor with the rebuke that the poor will always be around.

To me, this seems pretty heartless of Jesus. His disciple has suggested that he perform a selfless act towards the poor and yet he says no and adds insult to the refusal.

What is your opinion on this matter?

Who started all this 'spiritual' stuff anyway?

I find myself drawn to spirituality, but i have no time for religion, i don't even have time for most gods and goddesses. It's like curse, but it also keeps me from going completely insane. It gives life some sort of meaning. Who created 'spirituality' where did it start, and how does it effect the modern world, if at all? What place does spirituality have in our time?

One of the important things in my question is to define the subject. As we shall proceed to discuss Islam, I would like to hear a definition of the meaning of the word "Islam" because it is an Arabic word. I have heard more than one definition of this word; so I would like to hear yours. "Muslim" is another Arabic word which ought to be defined for the benefit of the non-Arabs who may read it very often without understanding its full meaning, or may confuse it with the word Islam?

The account of Jesus’ birth is either a straight lies or misinterpretation of facts. It’s accepted that all

books that recorded his birth were written long after his birth. There are claring contradictions between Matthew and Luke. Matthew also says some odd things.

1. Matthew quotes Isaiah as saying “"therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel". Facts – Jesus was not named Immanuel (Immanuel does not mean “divine”). The original text does not refer to a virgin but a young woman of marriageable age (almah). So Matthew’s account is either a cross-misinterpretation or lies

2. Luke records that Joseph and Mary took Jesus to the temple in Jerusalem when he was about 40days old after which they went straight back to Nazareth (Luke 2:22,39). Matthew’s version is that Joseph & Mary fled to Egypt immediately after Jesus was born and stayed there for several years (Matt. 2:13-14).

In light of these contradictions, why do some Christians insist that we should not interrogate the bible?

Are there any world wide religion debates?

Do Rabbis, Priests, Imams, and Pastors get together to hear each others words in one place to discuss religion and God, whom they all believe in but have different accounts to the Prophets?

I can't imagine how it would go, do they ever do this? Especially the Rabbi and the Imam since they are brothers, Isaac and Ishmael. It would be interesting to watch.
