It would seem that Christians and fundamentalist in particular are hell bent on imposing their filthy lifestyle on everyone no matter how many dead bodies they have to step over to do it. See the above answer for details.

I would say that Religion, plays a big part of what emotions we all have, because if the Almighty God, had not given us Emotions within us then, we would be like Robots, and would not have any feelings within us. so, religion might try to explain about Love, because it is written in the Scriptures. So, Science does not have any Part in what we feel. I do think that sometimes Science, might have the knowledge to tell us what are the emotions that we are having are, but aside from that they are not God. Good Morning to you too, Enki.

Leaving people alone is often taken as a sign of weakness. People try to find out if barking dogs at night, parking on your grass, throwing trash into your yard, loud music, kids using your flower garden as a sand box, and dogs using your front yard as a toilet will get by you. The nice peaceful person gets walked over, but the aggressive person gets peace and quiet. Welcome to the wide world of hormones and greed.

Right and wrong make a difference.
I don't care at all what people think to themselves, or among their little groups. But when false religious beliefs (e.g., the creationist ones) are imposed on the public, that's wrong, and should be stopped. It's a matter of basic decency, and of basic honesty. "Live and Let Live" may sound good, but in fact if it's used as justification for pushing creationism into public schools, for supporting anti-abortion activists, for attacking gays and atheists, "Live and Let Live" is in fact immoral.

Cause first one has to overcome the idea that opposites like black and white, high and low, cold and warm and most important right and wrong. Those are NOT opposites. white is just white. black is just black. high is just high and right is just right, and right is not the opposite of wrong. when I start to understand that I might be able to let others live and don't have to think about, why other people live in a different way. and that this different way is not against my way....it's just different, that's all.

Because we as humans, and our governments in particular, in our infinite wisdom, have to believe that we are alway right and everyone else is wrong. This is the way we have been raised to think, and until enough people say and truly believe that "enough is enough" it will continue.

When one is convinced that they have the one absolute truth like many of the morons on this page, they must be stopped not tolerated. These people are the ones who fly planes into buildings. They won't just die for their religion. They'll kill for it too.

Because most people are not taught or don't give their mind to the truth of love nor have they hardly seen Agoppy(loving like God loves) love.
We are to love the brothers that we do see other wise we don't love God whom we don't see.

Because error has no rights. Human persons have rights, even to erroneous opinions- Even if people are in the wrong you're supposed to love them not just tolerate them.
