I have, and I am so careful who I tell now. I either keep them to myself or only share the gifts with my mother who is strong in the Lord. Even this lady that I know she has had them and she told me last year that she keeps things from the Lord to herself because people would think she was crazy. I do not blame her. how can people think she is crazy if she says nothing. Same with me I have had many gifts from the Lord and even though I have never had anyone that doubted me when I told them face to face because they could see the passion of have for the Lord in my face. They said it has helped them. I am not going to reviel what the Lord has showed me on here, no way. Anyway Christians do you keep you stuff to yourself for fear of persecution, if you do, good move!

As if they were clearing there throats to make way for the "obvious" dictum to follow. Like: "Hmmmmm- looks like someone needs to read their Bible."

From Jesus to Buddha, many people used parables to illustrate how people should or shouldn't live. Does anyone know any interesting or obscure people who have invented parables or used ones invented by others in the past?

People leaving Christianity, Judaism, or any other religion are free to make their conversion public. While it causes trouble with their families or societies, it's usually respected as a human right and a personal choice. That is everywhere except...Here. There definitely are ex-Muslims out there (how many I don't know and I don't think anyone else does) but the vast majority of us wouldn't dare reveal ourselves, which is why we're just about unheard of. It's dangerous. We can be imprisoned, forced to divorce our Muslim spouses or leave our children, killed, or tortured. Muslims answer any question about ex-Muslims by saying that no one ever leaves Islam, or no one in his right mind leaves Islam, or that death for apostates in Islamic law is a lie when it's very well proven. Even the few ex-Muslims here on Yahoo! Answers are often discredited ("I don't believe you."). It's funny...In a painful kind of way. We're the most endangered people in the world.

I'm talking about the ones that say they "heal" people through Jesus on stage (i.e., cure them of cancer, make them walk again, bring them wealth). I particulary loathe the Miracle Water guy.

I can't believe so many dimwits believe in these people. This is probably the main reason I'm not a firm believer in religion: Plain too many idiots live by it.

Someone walked the earth in this day and time and preached that they were the son of god, and did all the things jesus did? Every single one of them. Would you be scared? Would you worship him? What would you do?

that it does not matter how one chooses to worship him? Why do they want to impose their cultural beliefs on other nations that have their own cultural identity? Everyone has different tastes and imagine him in different forms and these maybe represented in idols as a focal point? It connects these people personally to him like nothing else! Do they think that the uncreated creator is so petty that he does not listen to people coz they don't call him by the a certain name? Or is it their own ego coming in between to mediate as the saviour? Who appointed them the mediator between god and his people? Do they not believe in the innate goodness of people unless they are christianised or islamised?
