Can't say that I have. But it goes with the Book of Judas, Mary, and more. Although most of the books that weren't included in the Bible do have teaches that many believe are incorrect, the point is that many books were excluded from the Bible, as a fact. This proves that as good as the Bible may be; it is incomplete and very possibly wrong in areas, let alone misinterpreted. It’s a simple truth, that the Bible we have is not all. This is proven even with the concept that there are other books out there as proven by ancient writings.

The book of Thomas may or not be true, but it is still connected to the bible on way or another.

See the movie "Stigmata" There is your answer. Seriously - see the movie - regardless of your question, its a good movie anyway. Ironic that the lead actor in the movie is GABRIEL Burns (Gabriel being God's messenger) Perhaps the Lord works in ways even more mysterious than we suppose...

Anyway, to sum it up, the Gospel of St. Thomas, at least according to the movie, says that St. Thomas wrote of Jesus saying "Split a branch and I am there, Lift a stone and you will find me"

'Me' being the Lord. Its basically saying that you don't need to go to church to have a relationship with God because you are already in the church of God - existence so to speak means to be within the church of God. The Lord is with you wherever you are.

Not stating an opinion, well, actually I am, but it makes perfect sense the human churches that would lose power and money didn't want that published or accepted and relegated it to the apocrypha doesn't it? As if the church is going to admit that even if true. Back when it was written, there was a religion being built after all.

I haven't read it, but I am very interested in reading those scriptures that the RC left out...and I'd also like to know, in each case, why the decision not to include that particular writing was made.....

It is considered 'spurious' by conservative Bible students. I have not read it, like the Da Vinci code-not much time for fiction.
