1) Abortion is the medical termination of the pregnancy.
2) Many factors can bring people to want an abortion -- unwanted pregnancy, birth defects, health of the mother.
3) The Christian church takes a rather clear view opposing abortions. This is a pressing political issue that affects elections. If you hear the term "Roe vs. Wade", this is referring to a law legalizing abortions, which made devout Christians angry. You really don't need a source on this -- it's an everyday issue.

I'm not a Christian, and I've never had an abortion, but I personally would never have one. I love children waaayyy too much to do so. HOWEVER, I do know that this does NOT give me the right to tell somebody else what to do with their body. I may think it's wrong, but I also don't have to live with the consequences. I don't think it should be allowed unless the mother's health is at risk or she has been raped. But that is MY opinion. It should never be made into a law.

1. Abortion >> the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus.

2. Factors... >> unavoidable circumstances, such as rape, pre-marital sex, indecisive parents, accidents (miscarriage).

3. Bible stands against abortion. It's pro-life, if you can re-read the ten commandments, God forbids killing.
