If I AM is a name for God as He told Moses (English translation of His Name), can this be a name? In fact, I would like God just be known as God and is nameless. With this understanding, I dare say God has also revealed Himself to the Chinese through the Chinese characters, Chinese custom of worship, and in the interpretation of the old name of China as the God's Land. There are two writings which could have contained remarks regarding the revelation of God: Shanhaijing and Daodejing. Chinese characters were formed or coined from abstract pictures. The current forms of characters were developed or evolved through several centuries and in their original forms they seem to have captured the picture of God and humans and how He related to His people at that time through the pictures captured in those characters. The importance is not what I said above, but if God is nameless, any religions or faith that insist Jehovah or Yahweh as the only names of God will have to make a rethink.

i had an answer that he just fulfils his purpose on earth then thats it... its over with ( he is clearly an agnostic).... but how can you believe you have a purpose? that makes absalutely no sence at all!! how can you believe you are on earth for a reason if you die and he only believes his body will rot and thats it? Please help!! He is clearly confused!! As I believe that God has a purpose filled life for me..... i believe im clearly here for a reason!!

If yes, then where was He buried, and if no, what happens to His body when He died.

I am a Muslim, and I believe Jesus (pbuh) was not killed, He was replaced with a Man whom God made him resembles Jesus (pbuh) and God raised Jesus (pbuh) to Heaven.

Why the juvenile behavior and questions which everyone knows are disingenious and childish jokes or canned arguments you read out of the most recent humanistic, anti-christian book on secularism? Do Christians or people of faith come to your threads with such harrasment? I would not know becuase I do not and would not lower myself to such tactics. But curious if there are any adults with original sound reason for their antithesis to this thread or just children being silly despite their chronological age.

The fat Buddha is the future Buddha according to Chinese tradition. Buddha wasn't even Chinese, he was from India. Buddha was athletic and a master martial artist. Please people, get educated before you start mocking Buddha. Take a look at this link and see for yourself.

seeing that textual critics can't agree on which works of Shakespear, if any, were written by Shakespear; isn't it rediculous to want people to believe that a textual critic descerned the number of groups of authors, their petnames for the divine, and their motivations for writing after 3-4000 years.

It seems the most friendly to science and not that Buddhism does or doesn't believe in God, but they just don't talk about him. From what I understand, you can be a believer, nonbeliever, or an agnostic and still be a Buddhist. Buddhism has turned the attention away from the idea of God and is stricty focused on the "here and now" of humanity. Oh by the way, Buddha isn't a God, he is just a highly respected teacher.

For those Christians that have studied the Bible what do you think it means -- that no flesh would be saved, what would possibly destroy all flesh if He did not shorten the days in your opinion. In additon who do you think the "elect" are that he says he is shortening time for and in your opinion where would this happen in the tribulation and rapture timeline?

If God is all-powerful, in theory, could He kill himself? If you feel He could, what would the end result be of killing something defined as omnipresent? Would reality unravel or cease to exist?
