... fill the details with mindless blather about the verity of their own beliefs, and razz those of other people? Then, they only pick the answer that agrees with them as "best answer", instead of the most articulate and best argued one?

I am a believer, who often struggles with his faith. I backslide occsaionally, but I have found that over time I always come back a little stronger.

I know that there are countless good and rightous people in the world. And that there is great beauty and charity. I believe there have been miracles all throughout history.

But why is there so much suffering in the world? Why is there so much pain, inequality, poverty, war, and hunger?

Have you ever wondered why God does not just fully reveal himself to us and live with us in a perfect paradise?

I know many people will say that there is suffereing because God wants us to turn to him, and have faith in him objectively. But have you ever wondered why this would be necessary? Why can't God just present himself to us and remove the need for us to find him or struggle with our faith?

Why?

I heard that the American Catholic church is trying to break away from the Catholic church of Britain and they want to implement things (like sexual things.) My source is very unreliable, so I was hoping for some confirmation. thanks.

God said, I am the light.

Isn’t that amazing?

Light is energy. According to Physics, that is indeed the only thing that can create matter. Energy creates matter. I suppose the ancient people never knew that. Only a God can say something so insightful so many thousands of years ago when man does not even know how to send radio signals.

Light is a particle & a wave. Yet in order to be a wave, the ‘independent’ particles must move synchronously and in-line. This means that if each particle represents a spirit, then every spirit moves according to a certain fixed will. That of God.

If the particles are going haywire, then you do not have light, you have darkness because what you see does not get reflected from the object into your eyes in a straight line, it ‘dissipates’ and goes somewhere else such that you see nothing.

Bible proves itself reliable with his prophesies and insight. The Q'uran proves its absurdity with its garbage, lies & immorality.

All other religions lead to the dark side of the force. Jesus was a Jedi and Prophet Mohammed was a powerful Sith Lord. They both used the force. The holy spirit is the force and the father was master yoda playing trix on people. (not the flood the never happened) The Koran and the Bible are were corrupted by the dark side.

those less fortunate. The ammount thay are Hoarding and spending on themselves is a SIN. I thought that being a Christian involved helping people as you would like to be helped if you were in financial difficulties. And what about those people in the world with nothing. The wealth being withheld from these people would be more than enough to give these people a good chance at being able to start, at minimum, subsistance farming. WHY DON'T THEY HELP??????

If so: Have you ever looked into other religions, or have you simply taken the words of your elders as truth?

How did Jesus die for us? (supposibly he must have suffered so much) than suddenly 3 days after he comes from the dead like nothing happened to him... strange

Did Jesus really suffer or he was playing around with his body pretending he was having pain for us than when he wants he comes back alive.

Maybe He didn't die at all when he was in the grave... was he in the grave?... because nobody saw him there?
Hmmm... maybe he ran away and God just tricked the people to think they were killing Jesus, though they were killing theire own friend.
God can do all things right...

I really believe that we are being sold a bill of goods regarding the intentions and overall character of people of the Islamic faith. The media always shows violent images and perhaps people burning American flags . While obviously these images arent contrived , perhaps it isnt a proper representation of the overall opinion of the majority. I do not believe what the biased media tells me . If I were to believe what the media says instead of investigating it myself , then I would be ignorant to the actual reality of the situation . And I believe the major majority of Muslums are not people with bombs strapped to thier necks and want to live in peace . I also believe that the sovereignty of thier respective counties should be recognized by ours, and not invaded or bombed because of what we are being led to believe by the media .

to me this is a very interesting question, as it has the ability to prove the existance of a higher being. he healed the blind, cured the sick, and rose from his tomb, or did he. on one hand, it seems like it would be convienent for people to exagerate his life in order to jumpstart a new religion...why would anyone want to start a new religion, i believe that answer is simply power. while on th eother hand, jesus could have very well existed, along with all of his miracles, but the one thing i have a hard time believing is christianity. i believe christianity is merely an offspring of the human desire for power. what i'm saying is, jesus diddn't write the bible so what makes the people who wrote it so credible?

Here is just one verse - there are others. 1 Corinthians 9:5 Don't we have the right to take a believing wife along with us, as do the other apostles and the Lord's brothers and Cephas.

Obviously if the Lord had brothers then Mary did not stay a virgin.

Please only answers from Christians.

I'm trying to understand the Bible, by reading it from beginning to end. I'm in the first book, and have noticed a few things. Why does the Bible say God made man and woman for the first time in Genesis 1:27, but Adam's creation was discussed later in Genesis 2:7 and Eve in Genesis 2:18?

I'm trying to understand the Bible, by reading it from beginning to end. I'm in the first book, and have noticed a few things. Why does the Bible say God made all moving animals, sea life, and birds for the first time in Genesis 1:21-25, and later says they were formed for the first time in Genesis 2:19?
