How many died-in-the-wool evolutionists have seen the Light and gone to God? And how many Bible/Koran thumpers have abandoned superstition and embraced Godless science/atheism?

I read this a lot, people telling stories about converting right before death, just to be sure. It's an interesting concept to me, simply because I can't make sense out of it.

Assuming that a God exists, would God really fall for it? And if so, what would and extra 10 minutes matter? 10 minutes later the person has died, and will face Peter. Why not convert then? What is the difference in these 10 minutes?

The teaching of the Prophet Jesus Peace be upon him, contradict the teaching of the Trinity, the Bible even after being tampered with still opposes and objects the Trinity, this is a sign from you One and True Creator that if only you were to look and think you would not be deluded from the truth, let us look at the teaching of Jesus, and the many verses in the Gospel:
In Matthew 19:16-17
“And behold, one came and said unto him, ‘Good master, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?” And he said unto him, “Why callest thou me good? (There is) none good but one (i.e.) God, but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.”
In the above verses we note this acknowledgment of his submissiveness (to Allah’s Will)
In Matthew 21:45-46
“And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parable, they perceived that he spoke of them. But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude because they took him for a Prophet.”
Here it is proved that all th

When people question me about my beliefs, I really have nothting to back it up with other than the Bible. I am not saying the Bible is not good it is just that they come back and ssay "Whose to say the Bible isn't just another book that people wrote?" Then I do not know what to say. I am looking for ways to prove or explain to them why I believe what I believe.

Serious answers only please. If you don't believe that's your choice but please keep your comment to yourself.

would God give credit for effort? Whose fault is that? Will he/she go to hell?

Please don't say "try harder." That's not an answer.

This is a serious question, because as a child I never felt this in my evangelical church and it is one of the main reasons I became an atheist.

How is it possible that people can be so uneducated about evolution? How is it that people actually think that we came from Monkeys? I mean evolution has been proven! I have spent 8 years studying it and my girlfriend is an Evolutionary biologist! I mean we have seen the fossils...we see the proof everyday in our studies...how can people be so misled? And if you don't believe in evolution how far would you be willing to go to have it proven to you?
* a little side note, the other day I was arguing with a Creationist and he was sending me references from the 1950's and he actually thought they were still used.

Why does airport security need to undergo special training to ensure they don't "offend" any Muslims?

According to the AP:

"Say you're a security screener at the airport. You notice a large group of people wearing white robes, speaking a strange language. The women have head scarves and the men long beards. They look nervous. One of them is holding a Koran. Another appears to be praying. What do you do?

Simply assume they're devout Muslims returning from the annual hajj in Mecca."

"Offending" people, the last time I checked, is not illegal. Drunken frat boys, dangerous as they may be, did not cause 9/11. It is bullshit that we have to lay off Muslims simply BECAUSE radical Muslims caused 9/11.

Political correctness is going to cause people to die.

cent discount per gallon of gas at a given gas station from 9.00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. one Sat. morning. The customer would pay the regular advertised price LESS 25 cents per gal.that the Church paid. Customers were backed up for blocks and blocks. The youth would pump the gas for the people, wash the windows, empyt trash from the auto (if customer so desired) and pay the gas station their 25 cents off per gal. for the customer. The youth would politely give the custromer a Christian tract. Nothing "in their face" I have heard of Church groups offering free hot coffee to customers (with store management approval) as the customer exited the building. The coffee was free and they would give a Christian tract along with the coffee...no pressure, no questions asked, etc. Have you, your Church, etc. done anything like this? If so, what did you do.i/e who, what, when, where, how, why? Please give me some ideas...outreach--giveaways. Thank You

A man dying on a cross feeling sorry for himself, or a suicide bomber going to his death proudly proclaiming his god?

I know, I will get crushed for this. But, bear with me. Suicide bombers are insane, I know that.

I'm just talking about 'the act of faith', whatever that means. Both were suicides (jesus was put on earth for the sole purpose of hanging for our sins). Both actions are kinda silly. I'm not talking about the individuals here, just asking which shows the bigger (even if silly) act of faith ?

"Orthodox Christians believe that Jesus is Lord and Son of God in a unique way: he remains forever distinct from the rest of humanity whom he came to save. Yet the gnostic Gospel of Thomas relates that as soon as Thomas recognizes him, Jesus says to Thomas that they have both received their being from the same source."

Jesus was the son of God as we are all children of God.

I am currently reading the Bible. Now, I must admit, I haven't even finished Genesis yet. I decided that in order to be comfortable with my beliefs, that I must first gain as much knowledge about God as I could, and where better to turn than to the Bible itself, right? Now, here is my problem, I started reading with an open mind. I have done my best to keep it that way. And honestly it just reads like a fairytale. I am trying to tell myself as I read, "This stuff really happened", but it just seems fake, no matter how much I try to think otherwise. So, here is my question: Do you think some people are born with the ability to believe in God, and some aren't? Cause, it seems no matter how hard I try, I can't. I will finish reading to the end, but I can tell you, so far I am less of a believer than I ever was, if that is at all possible.
