Judas was who God intended him to be. Do you think that God and even Jesus didn't know what Judas was going to do? Jesus knew but yet he loved him just as much as any of His disciples.

At the Last Supper, Jesus told Judas to do what he had to do and do it quickly.

Stephanie, it was 30 pieces of silver, not 13.

Oh Davinci Code, the confusion you have unleashed!

According to the gnostics, a cult that branched off of Christianity in the 2nd or 3rd century, Judas was following Jesus's instructions, Christ married Mary Magdalene, and lots of other contradictions to the Bible. These teachings should be given the same weight as those of, say, David Koresh.

In the actual Bible, Judas was evil and betrayed his friend, master, and God, and was condemned for it. Of course, God used this for His purposes, as he often does, turning His enemy's evil against him.

There's a martial arts concept of "using your opponent's strength against him". God invented that and is the master of it.

I always considered him to be a traitor BUT then I watched a National Geography special on tv Consider that he was Jesus favorite except for Mary M. He was the only one who came from a rich family and Jesus and him were always whispering in the corner/ Why would such a favorite and rich man betray Jesus for money? He did not need it.

Not Jesus' instructions, but probably God's plan. I don't see how anyone can think Judas evil when essentially it was HIM who fulfilled the Word of God by turning Jesus over to be sacrificed.

..Which saved the human race. o.O
