That's just something I don't understand. Maybe it's a different God pretending to be yours. Or maybe it's a different God that you're just misunderstanding. Or what if (gulp) it's the Devil? Or your imagination, and you're just a little crazy. There could be all kinds of things. So how are you so sure that you're speaking to or hearing the being that you think it is? I'm really curious to know.

And no, a generic answer of "faith" really won't cut-it with me, as there have been billions of others who have had similar faith and it wasn't with your God. I want something more specific.

The mathematical probability of a SINGLE CELL coming about by chance is 1/10340,000,000, the fraction 1 divided by 1 followed by 340 million zeros! (Imagine the rest of the Universe)

Einstein on Meaning of life

What is the meaning of human life, or of organic life altogether? To answer this question at all implies a religion. Is there any sense then, you ask, in putting it? I answer, the man who regards his own life and that of his fellow creatures as meaningless is not merely unfortunate but almost DISQUALIFIED for life.

I hope that nobody goes and commits suicide after this... just ponder, there might be something ou there don't you think?

I saw it on Nip/Tuck, I heard about it with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, I hear L. Ron Hubbard bashing in Tool songs, I have to know. What is Scientology? I mentioned this in a class of mine before and a little girl yelled out "a cult!". Is this true?

Why do religious fanatics feel that they "don't judge", yet, truly end up judging MORE than their hedonistic counter parts? I'm compelled to wonder why a question about religion sparks so much judgmental, ignorant negative debate around here.

I've been on Yahoo! Answers for a month. When the topic of religion comes up American Christians see God looking like the Greek God Zeus and Jesus like John Lennon (without glasses). Why? The biblical characters are from Africa and the Middle East. Is that concept so hard to swallow?

a waste of time or do you really feel that you get something out of it? Sometimes I am so disturbed by some of the avatars and questions that it hurts to see how much hate there is, but at other times I feel that I have really helped someone with my answer and have had some new insights as well.

I grew up in a nasty refugee camp, and I ended up seriously hurt and almost killed maybe 3 times. I worked really hard to come to AMerica and bring my family, including my Father and Sister with me.

My question is this: I can say the "P" sound, which many of my countrymen can't; and I look different from others of my group because my mother was Ethiopian. THis means I could get around without constantly being harrassed if I act right.

Was I right to save my family, or should I have used my skills and looks to engage in resistence activities and maybe helped other families be free faster too?

The truth is we dont want them here. Why do they continue to come to a Christian nation when they are not wanted and claim discrimination. Wouldnt they be better off with muhammed in their own home nation?

Why do I see that atheists go to hell?

You keep quoting the bible, are you not capable of your own thoughts and opinions? What makes sense to you? I am curious. When you say that someone will burn, does that make sense that God is capable of that?

I was not a Pentecostal. I did a neighbor a favor for awhile by taking her to her church. She had been good to my son when we had a few hard years. I knew before I ever walked in the door that I would disagree with 99.9% of what I heard. I did disagree, of course. That experience also left me an objective observer to the absurdity of tongues.I

If there would be one true church in the earth today, which do you think it is and why...If not the true then the closest to the truth....

Because if we have the same savior then why do people with the same bible differ in doctrinal teachings to their followers...

I believe that religion is a vast topic but what matter is where among them is near to the truth.????
