Why is it that in one Malaysian state to accuse a man of raping you you have to have 4 muslim male witnesses?

This is not just in one Malaysian state. Only a few weeks ago, Pakistan made a change to the law to no longer require 4 male witnesses. You wouldn't believe it - men were actually demonstrating AGAINST the change!

You are right about this "law" being crap. It is basically a loophole designed to pin the fault on the victim. This is the same rationale by which psychopaths claim, "She wanted it" when the poor woman is fighting for her life.

If this were truly for protection, why witness? Why not intervene? What it amounts to is that if a woman is assaulted and violated and it didn't happen in public view (and when does it ever) then it MUST have been HER fault for fornicating, because a MAN would NEVER, EVER forcibly take advantage of a woman, right? And the poor victim can't prove her innocence!

The term, "utter revulsion" can't begin to describe what I think of this.

Look, some of these countries are still in I don't know what age.
There is an 18 year old girl right now fighting for her life because she and her 16 y/o neice were being raped by 3 men, she stabbed one defending herself, he died. She is in Iran. They say she had to have 4 witnesses. This is a bunch of pig crap!I am not sure how they refer to their God, but I don't think any God accepts the way these women are being treated. i would like to read anything to this effect. That is the male, macho, moronic, thinking of muslims. Unfortunately, certain religions have to change or face extinction like the dinosaurs. Slavery was accepted as a way of life 2000 years ago. Slavery and women's right have come a long, long, way. Just over 200 years ago, women in the USA did not have rights like they do now, as they can vote and hold office and forbid, even go to a mens college. I do not expect the Muslims to change the stupid 4 man rape rule, but then 200 years from now, I do not think it will be in effect. This is in the advantage of woman and to protect her from being accused . anybody can claim that the innocent woman is fornicating and can destroy a total familly.
