If there would be one true church in the earth today, which do you think it is and why...If not the true then the closest to the truth....

Because if we have the same savior then why do people with the same bible differ in doctrinal teachings to their followers...

I believe that religion is a vast topic but what matter is where among them is near to the truth.????

You are absolutely right that different churches understand the Bible differently. That's why it's important to have living prophets. They can explain what the scriptures mean. The prophet who has the authority from Jesus Christ to teach the world today is Gordon B. Hinckley.

Jehovah's Witnesses are the true Christians and the true religion! The are unique for their total rejection of Paganism in all it's forms, they use and proclaim God's personal name Jehovah, on a Global scale each and every active member takes part in the preaching work
No other oiorganization can claim such purity of worship!
Jehovah's Witnesses have no paid Clergy yet the stay completely organised, even with more that 6.000000 Jehovah's Witnesses and about16 million people associate themselves with the religion! Full time preachers are also unpaid and volunteer their time to do thisAmong them there is no class distinction none have any special privelidges in their congregations on earth! The few anointed ones(The ones who will be ruling with Jesus Christ in God's kingdom) have no special privelidges either And even in their branches the workers there are unpaid volunteers as well! What other organization would be able to claim all this ?

I believe the bible says "upon this rock I will build My church"... Matthew 16:18. Notice that it says 'church' singular, not 'churches' plural. My guess would be that we should find a church that teaches what the bible teaches. If we want to follow God, we should speak where the bible speaks and be silent where the bible is silent. May I suggest a website for you...

I do not believe that is one true church or one that is even close. the reason for this is that what church did Jesus Christ go to when he went to the temple he ran them out because he said they did not know him.

The reason there are so many religions from the same Bible is because everybody interprets it differently every body has there favorite scriptures and you can make anything sound believable when you take this verse and add it to this one

I think the group is hard to tag. I think they cross denominational barriers. I think they go to churches, enjoying "95% of what the pastor says, but this one or two things..." I think they make allowances for error and if the main issue, Christ is solid, they make allowances for many things. Many stay for the primary issue, Christ, and the secondary issues aren't as important and they truly LOVE those they fellowship with. If Christ is the way the truth and the life, if we have Christ and are in error in less important secondary issues, what does it matter? The Holy Spirit is a better teacher than anyone here on earth.

7th Day Adventist, they still hold to the Hermenuetic of Historicism as did everyone until the 16th. century. During the counter reformation the Roman Catholic Church employed 2 Jesuit priests(Catholic) to come up with the "Left Behind" doctrine as well as Futurism, the doctrine of a 2 part rapture theory.

Most religions believe that there is no more revelation and they have all of the truth. Something I find interesting about the Mormon religion is that they believe they have more truth than anyone else, but that god is still giving revelation and that he will be forever. Just something interesting since you mentioned the closest to the truth.

Objectively, it would be the kind of church that Jesus Christ himself started and if he were on Earth today he would approve of.

Now the question is: which of the existing churches is that?

- Catholic Church was founded by Paul, not Jesus - Paul never even met Jesus in his life.
- Protestant Churches are the result of branching out from Catholic Church.
- Russian and other orthodox churches have the same roots as Catholicism but branched out from it much earlier than Protestantism.

Soooooooooo......... The answer, to my mind, is NONE.

Jesus, He Who said "I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE; no one comes to the Father but by Me". Of course just saying it isn't sufficient; He proved it by rising from the Dead, becoming He Who was dead but, behold, is alive forevermore.

Which "church" is closest to that Truth? The Churches who most closely adhere to the teachings of the Word.
