I don't think people necessarily sees it as wrong - they just don't understand it. It is the religion of the upside down kingdom - where the weak are strong, the poor are rich....and so on. It is totally opposite than what the world of the rich and famous and all that stuff. People can't understand that you need to give up your own life in order to live!

What do you really expect? The world turned against Jesus Christ, they even lied on Him! Do you think the world would do any better now?
Consider all the wars going on now! Not because one is trying to take land from the other, but because one believes this way and the other says, "Your belief is wrong and I'm KILLING you because of what you believe"
The Bible and Nature say, the purpose of SEX is for new life and to that end male and female! The Bible, in no less than three books, declare male, and male, female and female and any one with an animal, to have committed a grave SIN! Some passages call for death to those involved.
But what do we have? Some, so called Christian Churches have GAY Pastors, More and more countries are OKing Gay life style
to include America!
As of to date, no human has come to this world through someones butt hole! The only thing there is Human waste,
how much filthy-er can humans sink?
Some females agree that male male sex is OK, thereby equating their vagina to a mans butt hole!
They claim Christianity to be wrong, as they did in the time of Christ because, as Christ did, Christianity stands against, today's
worlds corruption and your attempt, to life a life of respect, a life of morality, a Godly Life!

Christians are not looked down upon for living a good life.
Christians are looked down upon for SAYING they are living a good life when in reality they are living a sham.
It is the Sunday "Please GOD forgive me" types that others look down upon so hard. These types are in the majority and are also the loudest ones who attempt to convert others.
I do not have a problem with th faith or the book or some of its followers.
I have a BIG problem with the HYPOCRITES who don't read the book, don't listen to their leaders, and cant follow the very basics of their faith. Where does it say anywhere that it is okay to murder anyone even if it is doctors who perform an abortion?

I have absolutely nothing against Christians, though I can no longer consider myself one, as my beliefs have been too influenced by Eastern philosophy to call what I believe in Christianity.
The Christians I do get upset at are those Christians who distort the message of their religion and seem to believe in a God of punishment, segregation and hatred. I am upset at their vanity, that they believe knowledge is given them of who will go to Hell and who will not (themselves). I am upset at their hypocrisy, as they profess to adhere to the religion of love while spewing words of hatred at all those who would not surrender their consciousnesses unconditionally to their beliefs. I get upset at their bad faith, when they would rather believe than understand, denying the true gifts God gave man to enquire and comprehend.
However, I find there is little reason to mirror these people's hatred. They are mostly deluded. I sometimes mock them, but I try to refrain, as that is not a constructive approach. I would rather be sincere, speak what I believe is the truth and give them an opportunity to see the absurdity of their attitude.
As for Christians in general, those that approach their faith with the proper modesty, humility and openess, I feel no need to intervene. Whatever path leads one to serenity and goodness can not be a bad path.

I live each day to find God's way and if someone sees something in me I hope that it is the light of Jesus. People have ignored me, at times afraid that I will start preaching, but I don't talk about Jesus unless they ask. I just go about my business trying to be the best person I can be, relying on God.

what do you mean by antillized? that's not a word...
seriously, my problem is with those whose definition of "a godly life" is condeming my gay friends and family members, questioning my morality, my parenting, my citizenship, suggesting that I shouldn't be allowed to vote, taking books I may care to read out of the public library, etc.
If you do none of those types of things, I have no issues with you.

If most Christians lived a godly life, I wouldn't have a problem with them.

They're not looked down on for what they believe in per se, but because most Christians are hard on other people who are of different religions. Generally speaking, Christians are the neighborhood/school bullies of religion.

Jesus said it best. If they do all this to me they will indeed do it to you. Most people are sinner and when they see a holy person they are condemed with in them selfs. They are jealous of God children and they are blinded by sin. People think you are judgeing them when in fact you are point to the truth of God.

I feel bad for good people like you that are in a group with such a bad rep. It does have a bad rep for good reason though, and you have to realize that's something you're going to have to live with.
You seem to have a good attitude. Just worry about your own spirituality and you'll be fine :)
