I'm so new to a lot of religious stuff so...
Is it possible that GOD creatated early man and that man EVOLVED into a modern form of man?
Is it possible to believe in both or am I just way off?

Perhaps not as you put it, but the two ideas are not as incompatible as some people would like to believe.
To me, God is more of an all-encompassing intelligence behind the Universe. So that science is not against God, it is an exploration into the works of God. So what if God made a world that evolved? How would that take anything from its greatness? I think people get stuck in these either/or arguments and fail to see the true nature of life, and the incredible opportunity they are given to experience this world.

The Bible specifically says that the Earth was created in seven days. Many people link this passage with another passage that says that to God a day is a thousand years, and vice versa. However, though this does refer to the timelessness of God, the word is used in a completely different context. The word used in Genesis is the Hebrew word that always means a 24 hour day. No one versed in Hebrew would read that as representing a different length of time unless they wanted it to say that. If it meant an undetermined lenght of time, there's another Hebrew word that would've been used. If you make those days represent millions of years, it's the equivalent to saying that when history books say Clinton was in office for eight years, it actually meant sixteen years. It just doesn't make sense to interpret it that way.

early man evolving is not the real issue, its evolution from apes to humans, the time of the dinosaurs, and even earlier that is the issue.
however most open minded religious people are willing to believe that god created everything and that evolution was real. this theory lies in the belief that god himself initiated the big bang or whatever the beginning of the universe was, and that he started life on earth and let it go on from there, maybe guiding it. this is evolution and theism coexisting, and its what most people with trust in science as well as faith in god believe.

anything is possible.

Try and realize God spoke all the universes into existence as well as the plants and animals.Man was the only thing He made with His own hands.Man was the only thing He breathed the breath of life into and it became a living soul.Man was never an animal. As for other things we see evolution taking place every day in plants and also in animals.

no cause the bible specically says in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth, and all the creatures. Adam and Eve were the first humans and they were not monkeys or Neandrathal Man. Here's some science that you should definelty check out, when you have the time.

There are many varying views about evolution both from theistic and non-theistic views. You are entitled to your point of view and should explore the different positions being held by those who hold them. I am leaning towards the highly criticzed intellgent design position. Although they are highly criticized I find few people in here have even read there works and are uncritically accepting opinions from those who have their own slant. A few good reads I can suggest. Icons of evolution by Jonathan Wells and Darwin's Black Box by Michael Behe. I would also suggest Darwin on trial by Berkley Law Professor Phillip Johnson. Its good to read all sides of debate if you want to be well informed. But your entitled to your opinion.

It is not only possible to accept both, it is necessary to do so if you want to live in the truth. A religion that tells me I must reject the plain evidence of natural events discovered by science is founded on fear and scriptural misinterpretation, not truth. And any science that suggests I must reject God is false science, since God and other spiritualrealities do not fall within the purview of science. Real truth, from whatever source, can never conflict with any other real truth, from whatever source.

If you mean, is it possible that the Christian God created man etc. etc., then I'd think that the supposedly inspired author of Genesis (Moses or whoever you want to say did it) could have gotten a few more of the details right.

Well if you go by the bible not really, because Adam and Eve were the first two people, according to the bible, and adam and eve didn't need to evolve at all. they were created like we are today pretty much

But you can believe that if you want 2!! its up to what you think, not what some book says!
