I read this a lot, people telling stories about converting right before death, just to be sure. It's an interesting concept to me, simply because I can't make sense out of it.

Assuming that a God exists, would God really fall for it? And if so, what would and extra 10 minutes matter? 10 minutes later the person has died, and will face Peter. Why not convert then? What is the difference in these 10 minutes?

Death-bed perversions happen when christianazis prey on the ill as they become incoherent nearing their death. I would compare them to vultures, but at least vultures have the decency to wait until their prey has died.

The world's most notorious and fictional death-bed perversion never happened. Charles Darwin did not pervert to christianazism, and Lady Whore - oops, Hope - was never there. Any christianazi who says otherwise is a liar, but that goes with the terrorism - oops, territory - of religion.

Charles Darwin's daughter Henrietta was there. His last words were to his daughter Emma: "Remember what a good wife you have been."

God cannot be fooled. He knows the hearts of men. A genuine spiritual conversion is possible just before death. If you are banking on a deathbed confession there are 2 things you need.
1) An honest repentant heart. AND 2) Being lucky enough to know your about to die. I believe the deathbed conversion is rare though not impossible and is only happens with those who have never heard the Gospel before. Believe it or not there are many people here in America who do not know that Christ died for their sins.

God doesn't fall for anything. He gives salvation willingly to anyone, whether very young or 10 minutes before death as long as they place their faith in Christ. What is it to you if a person recieves a reward 10 minutes before they die? It's between them and God. If God set the terms...anytime before they die and a person is within those perimeters, that's between them and God. After they die it is too late. It would make more sense for a person to go to God when they are young to learn more about the God they have recieved and to be able to respond to that gift with love and bring others to that peace, but God does not discriminate against those almost dead.

The thing is, you never know when you are going to die. So your safer to convert as soon as you can. I actually think about this alot....i think most of the time it's people who may have always refused God, and then on their death bed, someone talks to them, and they realize God is true, and then they make that committment. God is going to honor that. BUT, I think it would be a different story, if you lived your life in sin, always doing things wrong, KNOWING fully well, that it's wrong and GOd wouldn't approve...and then taking advantage on your death bed and converting. We obviously dont' know if those death bed conversions worked or not....but that is a tough question...good one though!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who ponders this!

The repentant thieve on the cross had a "death bed conversion" Jesus said this person would be with Him in paradise that day.

In Matthew chapter 20, Jesus talks about the parable of the laborers. In this, one was hired at the break of day to work for a said price. Another was hired at noon and another at the end of the day. All were hired for the same sum. The one hired at the start of the day complained that the one that only worked an hour got the same pay. He was told that he did get what he agreed on so there was no valid complaint.

Someone that accepts the LORD at an early age is assured eternal life, just as someone who accepts the LORD at the end of their life is. I have no complaints about that.

There are a couple of things to consider. Those that wait until the last moment...if they are doing it willfully are on very dangerous ground. They could die in such a way that they "never know what hit them" and would not have time to accept the LORD. Along with that....God said "My Spirit shall not always strife with man. If you have waited that long, you may have hard end your heart so much you still do not see the need for God.

Another major blessing one will have missed is the chance to be used by God to bring others to Him. I would not want to miss this for anything.

If you do not know you have eternal life...don't take the chance that you can do it at the last moment...do it today...see the link below.

God knows the heart, so He knows at the time of conversion, death bed or otherwise if it was true or not. Once the person dies he has no more chances to convert. The meeting St. Peter thing is not true- you meet Jesus Himself, either for judgment and into hell or entrance into heaven. If you have read the Bible at all you know the story when Jesus was crucified between 2 thieves , one mocked Jesus and the other asked for forgiveness- they both died , one to spend eternity in hell and one to spend eternity in heaven with Jesus. In Hebrews it says- "it is appointed ONCE for a man to die and after that the judgment." It does not say, when you face St. Peter you will have a chance to repent. I have a friend who's father accepted Christ on his deathbed and I believe with all my heart that he is with Jesus.

God doesn't "fall" for anything. He knows whether or not the person's conversion was sincere or not.

Remember the two thieves who were crucified with Christ? One of them sincerely repented, and Jesus told him that he would be with Him (Christ) in paradise that day.

That indicates that even those who repent of their sins and come to the Lord in the last moments of their lives are truly saved. And that means the difference between spending eternity in Heaven or in Hell.

So I'd say those ten minutes could easily be the most important ones of a person's entire life.

I am trying to accept God now. I am working on it. now that being said.

I believe that God knows when a person is really looking to Him. and He knows that this person has learned the truth about Him and is now ready to accept Him. and I think that God would never fall for anything. He Is way to smart for that.

Hope this makes since. I really believe this. I also hope I can accept Him before i have to face something like this. because I know God does exists.

You have asked a very good question.

But rest assured that God can judge a person better than we can. The spirit will be tested with fire not just merely accepted.

Insincere repentance, lip service, all these will not work. And it applies not just to the person who is lying on the deathbed.

>isn't "Who created God?" a stupid question? No sillier than the question 'who created the Universe?' >If God has a writer, isn't one convey approximately ask your self, "Then, who created that writer?" this is an countless cycle. If God has a writer, then who's that writer... and that writer's writer... and that writer's writer's writer... and this is countless. precisely. >God, if he's God, has no writer, and does not require one. So? i'd desire to easily as actual say that the Universe, if this is the Universe, has no writer, and does not require one. yet theists proceed to apply the 'the Universe desires a writer' argument in an attempt to illustrate God's existence. >this is understood that God is outdoors of time yet if so why could he be attracted to coming up a temporally limited universe? >is eternal draw close on, did not you in simple terms say that he replaced into outdoors of time? If he's definitely outdoors of time, then he's in precisely the comparable state in any respect situations; time could have no degree for him, in simple terms for our universe. He would desire to not have existed 'formerly' the Universe existed, simply by fact if time replaced into created alongside with the Universe, then there replaced into no 'formerly'. God's temporal existence could in simple terms be measurable with comprehend to our timeline and there could be no way wherein we could declare his existence at situations not in that timeline. So with the aid of asserting that he's outdoors time AND that he's eternal, you're contradicting your self, until you think that the age of the Universe is limitless (which we already understand this is not). >How is this concept, or coaching, that formerly the huge bang, time did not exists... any much less superb than the coaching/theory that God is eternal, and outdoors of time? simply by fact one asserts the existence of a complicated clever deity and the different does not. Occam's Razor states that the extra straightforward clarification is extra in all probability.
