All the churches don't say that he's a Christian. Mine certainly doesn't! If anything, his actions and policies are so far off the mark of Jesus' example that it's ridiculous to put "George W. Bush" and "Christian" in the same sentence without the word "not" in between.
Either way, church and state do not belong together. They never have and never will.

I am not sure if he is or not, but there are books out about him and they say something about his faith. Some people might think that he is making himself seem like a Christian to appeal to Christian voters. I am a Christian, and like I said I am really not sure if he is or not.
Here are the books about that:
A Man of Faith: The Spiritual Journey of George W. Bush
by David Aikman
The Faith of George W. Bush
by Stephen Mansfield

I am a Christian and I would like to know that one!
Personally, I think he hid behind religion and calling himself a Christian to get the votes of those who would not have voted for him otherwise.

well, if you can be made to believe that serpents and donkeys can talk, that the sun can be halted in the sky and a woman can be turned into a salt lick then you can be made to believe just about anything.
besides, don't you know that a "Christian" politician never lies? **wink**

Some of them say that because President Bush publicaly said that Jesus Christ is his hero.
And this is why so many heathen hate him.

Because, no matter your actions, if you believe Christ is your saviour, that's all it takes to be Christian. And it doesn't hurt that he gives them tithe.

Because he says he is.
He is a typical American, right wing, Christian who does not practice what he preaches.
