How did Jesus die for us? (supposibly he must have suffered so much) than suddenly 3 days after he comes from the dead like nothing happened to him... strange

Did Jesus really suffer or he was playing around with his body pretending he was having pain for us than when he wants he comes back alive.

Maybe He didn't die at all when he was in the grave... was he in the grave?... because nobody saw him there?
Hmmm... maybe he ran away and God just tricked the people to think they were killing Jesus, though they were killing theire own friend.
God can do all things right...

The Discovery Channel had a program where someone did some research on death by Crucifixion. It was concluded that just having nails driven into ones hands and feet and being on a cross for several hours would put someone into shock and cause death.

Jesus was also scourged. In scourging, a soldier used a whip called a flagrum consisting of leather straps embedded with metal and glass fragments with small metal balls sewn into the end of each thong. This whip was brought down with full force and when struck against the back of Jesus, was pulled thus tearing the skin off, exposing muscle, and maybe even exposing His very bones. Undoubtedly, His back was reduced to an oozing mass of mutilated flesh. Scourging stops when it is determined that the victim is near death or 39 lashes was reached. 39 was the number of mercy according to Jewish law. By this time, Jesus was in great pain, suffering severe blood loss, and was becoming very weak and thirsty. Only after this was He taken to be crucified.

Try having it done to you and see if it is fun.

As far as the LORD being dead...remember the religious leaders of that day even asked for a guard to be placed on the tomb to assure that no one would steal the body of the LORD. There was no doubt in the minds of the Romans that Jesus was indeed dead.

I would suggest reading "Who Moved The Stone" by Frank Morison to learn more on this.

If you don't believe, it really isn't that hard. Seriously, we Christians are unfortunately brainwashed from the get go. You are born, parents take you to church, and before you can talk, walk, and comprehend you have heard 100 sermons about God and Jesus. Take a step back and look at it from someone else's eyes. There is no proof of God, sometimes the Bible tells stories that never happened, many times our fellow Christians are only Christians when they feel it is applicable, and Christians have a bad rep with stuffing it down people's throats. You can't prove to people that there is a God and Jesus more than a man from scripture. The scripture was written by man in the book that you need to realize is a bit of a stretch. Your faith keeps you believing and loving, but the people you are referring to have no faith. And I can't blame them. People will ask God to give them the numbers to win the lottery. Why? Do you have a job? Did you go to college? Whatever it is that you can't afford why can't you afford it? IS it because you made bad decisions in life? Maybe it is best if you can't afford it to show others that the path you took was not the right path. My personal beliefs are that God does not intervene. I refuse to believe he would allow war if he did. I also can't believe he would allow a quarter of a million people to be killed by a tsunami if he believed in stopping such things. It couldnt' have been all those people's time to go. Heaven and Hell, I think people have the wrong idea. How can I enjoy someone's company with no body? I can't hug them, can't see them, hear them, etc. So why do I want to go to Heaven? I think it is a state of mind that you are in when you die. The satisfaction of knowing that you lived a good life.

Numbers 23:19: “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”

1 Samuel 15:29: “And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor relent. For He is not a man, that He should relent.”

Psalm 92:15: “To declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.”

Malachi 3:6: “For I am the Lord, I do not change.”

Romans 3:4: “Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar.”

Titus 1:2: “[I]n hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began.”

Hebrews 6:18: “[I]t is impossible for God to lie.”

Firstly, WHY in the world would God wanna do that?
He did die. Know why?
Cos if he didn't die, we'd all be doomed for hell. There wouldn't be a way to God. Christianity would have been lost hundreds of years ago.
He died and rose again. He defeated death, so there was such a thing as eternal life.
And something did happen to him. There were nail marks on both his wrists. There was the scar where he was pierced. You think they come by so easily?

Yes he suffered! You would have too if you have been flogged, your hair ripped from your face and a crown of two inch thorns pressed forcefully down upon your head.

And yes, he was seen in the grave. His family and friends cleaned his body and wrapped him in cloth then placed him in the tomb.

God can do ANYTHING, but fail! He has no reason to trick us or lie to us. He loves us and has sent his Son to die for us.

I love questions like these. It just keeps reminding me that Jesus really did die for me and that I am saved.

If you had any sense of who God is, you would know that he doesn't lie, and he doesn't resort to cheap trickery in order to accomplish his purpose.

He sent his son into the world so that Satan and his evil minions could do their worst to him, kill him, and so doing, bring about their own destruction, as no one had the authority to take the life of a sinless man, let alone the only son of God.

In this way, Jesus authentically and legitimately redeemed mankind from the real and genuine power of Satan, sin, and death.

Nothing less would do.

If you have some time...since you have a computer, search the internet for a site that will describe to you exactly how it is that one dies, when nailed to a cross. There are websites that can tell you the exact physiology of crucifixtion....I doubt you'll be able to stomach reading the entire explanation.

Jesus Christ died an agonizing death on the cross...to save you from your sins.

Jesus was a man with all the feelings of a man. One of which would have been pain.

Yes , he would have felt pain on the cross and before when they beat him. That sort of was the whole point. For him to take our pain from us.

Interesting question actually....

Most Christians wont be able to comprehend the irony of it.
If they began to truly doubt how much pain Jesus truly suffered it would kind of destroy the whole mythos wouldn't it?

Yet he is (in their eyes) a deity and therefore by definition can not be harmed by the hand of man....
