Faith gives us the freedom to be at peace with our future. Nonbelievers don't have that luxury. Satan tempts them everyday to try and turn us away from God.

I think it's their inability to form ideas about something they don't know. NO DISRESPECT MEANT. Most people in this age of technology are looking for instant information. Reading the Bible, or any other religious text, takes time and energy. Most of us feel we don't have the kind of time necessary to read such texts. So instead of taking time to learn we choose to assume that our previously learnt behaviours and information are correct.
Most people in the last 3-4 generations have had less and less time to teach or children any facts about life. Fewer families have stay at home parents while More kids have disorders like Attention Deficit. The behaviours of theses children are now being taught by strangers.
Sometimes I feel like I'm stuck in the cafeteria of my old high school. Where, if you wear the right clothes and say what everyone else says, you'll be accepted. Where whoever is the loudest can wield the most power. My "problem" is I know better.
My other problem is that my definition of god weighs life differently from the way i see people living.
"There is a moment
that we all come to
in our own time and our own space
where all that we have done
we can undo
if our heart's in the right place"

Reason#1) Because just as many pro-Christians come to the same place with intolerance and scorn
Reason#2) Christians have been attacking, torturing and killing it opponents for thousands of years and this is the consequence.
Reason#3) People have nothing better to do
Reason#4) Recent Christian attempts to get the bible made law of the land and also to try to get the bible to be accepted as a science textbook.
Here are 4 reasons..I won't comment on if I agree or not but there are some reasons for ya

a million) that's okay to bash any faith. Christianity gets most of the attention of atheists because of the fact maximum human beings right here stay interior the U. S. (from what i will tell, yet i need to be incorrect), the place Christianity is contained in maximum human beings, and has a plenty greater effective impact on our lives than different religions. 2) If an intensive-minded and illiberal individual criticizes Christians for being close-minded and illiberal, then particular, they does lead them to a hypocrite. till now I remark added in this, are you able to stipulate what you advise with tips from "intolerance"? many human beings mistake intolerance for direspect, and that i do no longer understand which classification you fall into. additionally, are you able to think of of any situations the place intolerance of somebody's ideals could be a competent factor? How approximately honor killings? Intolerance isn't a undesirable factor whilst somebody's ideals reason injury. 3) This argument is pointless. maximum human beings of folk interior the western international have been Christian for what number centuries? of direction there are going to be some significant minds. i'm particular you will discover comparable lists for the era of any sort of religions. additionally, for a protracted time, it replaced into the Catholic church who geared up the colleges for the era of Europe. you're no longer probable asserting something right here. There are themes with standardized IQ exams, yet there ought to be a greater efficient thank you to verify the point of intelligence interior of a faith. 4) Do me a prefer. do no longer stereotype atheists, and we will not stereotype you. i do no longer talk for all atheists, yet for the main area I purely component out atrocious spelling or grammar themes whilst interpreting what somebody has typed provides me a headache, their component is likewise stupid, and that i opt to rub it in a sprint.

The death toll from religion killing has surpassed 100 million and religious people don't want to talk about it, so it just continues. As for Christians, why do you accept bible mistakes as the word of God? For instance: How did Noah gather 2 Polar Bears for the Arc when he didn't know that they existed? If they have you believing that this is the word of God, then what do you expect?

While I'm far from anti-Christian...the few attempts I've made on here to talk about my *own* spirituality have also been filled with little besides insults and questions of my sanity. To be honest...I really don't feel free at all to talk about my own deeply-held beliefs here, aand it's gotten to the point that if someone does ask a relevant question, I'm more likely to just message them than post anything.
It's not just you.

I find the 'juvenile' behavior is among so-called "Christ"-ians,
who "know not" Christ is "the end of the law": Romans 10:4.
$illy Christians focus on "believe" when the Holy Bible flat out says the over-all objective is not to believe: 1Jn 4 (for devils "believe": Jam 2:19), but rather to "know": John 8:32, since only "know"-ing the truth makes you free of "believe"-ing the lies.
http://www.godshew.org/YeYou.htm
Ppl in general are sick and tired of so-called "Christ"-ians who still law impute sin and death for the "hell" of it; Witch is as devilish and childish as it gets, the reason for the higher exhortation to "be no more children", not even children of God (of two sorts of children compared), since "God said": let us make "man" (not men, nor children), and Paul The Apostle (his witness unto all men) said when he became a "man" (of child/man) he put away childish things: laws (1Cor), since by the using of laws(ordinances) all perish: Col 2:20-22.
It's all "allegory": Galatians 4 & "mystery"
http://www.godshew.org/Allegory.htm
And it's all about get it: understanding (spiritual maturity):
babe->child->man->perfect man = Christ(the Prototype)
http://www.godshew.org/RevelatorySermons17.htm
Not to mention the end of the God Shew is already written:
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

When you "people" stop pounding on my door every other day and waving a bible in my face, I'll leave your precious threads alone.
And "religion and spirituality" doesn't only involve heretics like christians, they involve a wide variety of useful beliefs as well.
Just because your insecure, doesn't mean you have to preach to me about your imaginary friends.

I have seen far more examples of Christians injecting bile and invective to other forums. These have been as diverse as ones on physics - which you would think would be tricky to hijack for purposes of religious bigotry.
I really, really think you need to take the plank from your own eyes before you complain about specks of dust in other people's.

I agree that many of the questions do not fit this category and that some come on this site to make fun of those of us who take it seriously. I believe those who criticize are really searching for God and that God accepts them where they are. Hopefully our response will be one of acceptance and welcome. We never know if our positive answers may be all they need for the little faith they may have to take root and grow.

mainly because of questions like this, which show the Christian faith in a very bad light.
your intolerance towards the beliefs of others is painfully apparent in the phraseology used in your question.
open your mind to the rest of the world, it is big, glorious and diverse, bathe in its wonder and immerse yourself in its diversity, forget the doctrines forced upon you by the control agencies that call themselves religion. They exist only to control the uneducated masses.
have a wonderful life, its the only one you'll get.
