If the religious people are supposed to be tolerant of others, why do they spend so much time suppressing and concentrating on what Homosexuals are up to. Why do they even care?

Oh and if you respond that "it is a sin against God", well, didn't 'god' make all people, and therefore if he made Gays he was therefore sinning aganst himself

If religious people are supposed to be intolerant(as some of you have written), then what about 'turning the other cheek.' And also, if religious people are supposed to be intolerant, wouldn't that justify radical Islamists belief in destroying those that do not follow in their beliefs?

I do not know why this is occurring, and I do think it is wrong to judge a neighbor. See, so many of us don't get the second commandment in the bible "LOVE Thy neignbor." It doesn't matter if their gay or committing any other sin-- love them anyway just as God loved you before you got saved, remember!!! God is so patient with all of us. So tell me why can't we christians be patient with people who sin or don't know the Lord? God granted mercy and patients for all of his mankind and he's undoubtedly doing the same thing for gays and lesbiens as well. I'm not a homosexual and I do think it is a sin, but I don't look down on them. I know that i have made so many mistakes even in my christian walk but doesn't mean we should go around condemning each other for the choices we decide to make. If that we the case, wouldn't god do the same thing to us? And I believe eventually he will because so many of us want to pass judgemant and not love the person for who they are. Why do we see them on the outside instead of on the inside? That is what attracts others to Christ is that it makes them feel comfortable. And I know I recieve comfort from my Savior I don't care what anyone else thinks.

Religious people and not supposed to be tolerant! Read Romans 1: 18-32, if you really want an answer-its short and to the point.

This is the root of religious belief, intolerance. Without intolerance of other groups, religion would be wholey unnecessary, and agnosticism would reign supreme. When you start using belief to influence culture, you become a tool of tyranny.

Our homosexuals are causing a lot of our internal problems in this country. The breakdown of this society is happening as it did in Rome many centuries ago. GOD expects us to go out, reach, and teach all that we can so that they have an opportunity to become Christians (CHILDREN of GOD) and find their way to Heaven. I hope that you have been reading and studying your BIBLE. If we can help you in any manner, please let us know. I do not harass others about homosexuality, but you did aSk. Have a great day!

I can't figure it out either. The Catholic Church has admitted that 30/40% (which means 50%) of it's priests are gay and they all received a calling from God. So, if God has no problem with gay people, why does religion?

Who told you religious people are supposed to be tolerant of others? Religions teach certain actions are intollerable. Gayness is one of them. Adults realize that not all their actions will be approved of by everyone else. Gays should do the same.

We all have free will, but some homosexuals feel that they have no choice. They think that because of the feeling for the same sex is the only way to go. We try to help them see that there is another way, but it may take courage and lots of willpower. It's just to show them that they have other choices also.

They feel homosexuality is very sinful. Religious people are often not tolerant of sinners.

It's not all religious people, but ones that reflect on to the whole religion itself. Personally, I think it's an action that was learned.
