Imagine each step we do is to the grave... but who told you that religion is not the answer... have you looked everywhere you could to find the real truth?? There is so many theories, religions, etc. You should try to find your way otherwise you'll loose not just your faith but your hope in living.
May opinion... look into this 3 main religions, Judaism, Christianism, and Islam. You will see that all are religions of 1 God, (well they were supposed to be), and of good manners. If you still believe there is something out there... than ask God for guidance and If He wills you will find the truth...

You turn inward...faith causes you to move away from 'self" towards others...toward God. Without faith, "self" once again occupies the prime position in your life. Solomon gave us the reason for living...Ecc 12:13 states, "The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man." Our reason for living is to gloriy God. Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Heb. 11:6). Faith is the catalyst towards living a life that glorifies God. How do you get faith? Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ (Rom 10:17) . Faith doesn't just happen...it is the result of hearing God's Word....it is something you must choose to actively pursue You have not been exposed to His Word very much, or you would not be in this crisis.

Men wrote the Scriptures by inspiration of God. "For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." (2Pet.1:21)

It's not the religion that gives meaning to life. It's the love, the friendship, and the sense of community people get from their religious community and from their belief in being friends with God that makes their lives meaningful.

If having religious beliefs and being a part of a religious community doesn't satisfy your need for love, friendship, and a sense of community any more. Then you have to look for and join some other community of people which is based on something other than religious beliefs.

It's true that everybody dies. But when you are a part of a family and a part of a community, then you don't truly die. A part of you continues to live in your children and grandchildren. And a part of you continues to live in the hearts and minds of your friends and relatives, even after you die.

The individual dies. But the community doesn't die. And if you are a part of the community and the community is a part of you, then that part of you continues to live even after you die. And it's this eternal life of the community that makes life meaningful for everybody who participates in it.

We are created by God not to die but to make this world wonderful for those who are in pain and sorrow and this is what God will certainly ask you when you reach heaven: How did you make the world of others beautiful? Never give up your hope! You might say that God is not with you because of all your worries and problems but you must know that with all those problems you were able to surpass them because God is with you. He is just waiting for you "thank-you-note".

I turn to prayer.

we are here in settlement of the angelic revolt which began in eternity past, and as time goes on, the conflict intensifies.

So much worry, doubt and faithlessness in the world today,
people are empty, in times past, the strong faith in God prevented this, now we are like undisciplined teenagers who have out grown our parents, what do they know any way.

We have out grown God.

I pray He will restore His presence with us, and restore unto us the joy of our salvation, which was purchased and a very great price. And take us home again.

If your faith is based on something true, factual or real, you never lose it.

The only parts of your so-called faith that you can ever lose are those things that were never real to begin with, and losing them is the best thing that could ever happen.

Consider this:

You might be feeling down now, but did it ever occur to you that God just momentarily winked out of existence? You have enough sense to sit down and talk to him, that means you think he's there. That part of your faith is intact, and that's what counts.

The notion that "atheists have no reason to live" is both farcical and insulting. When I go to feed the worms, I will leave the world a better place than when I came in because I chose to make it better, and I won't get any "eternal reward".

Just because one doesn't have "faith" doesn't mean one doesn't have ethics, morals, kindness, love, and joy.

If you give up all religion to become an atheist, fine; if you turn back to religion or a different one, fine. Just remember: "faith" is how you treat a "god", morality is how you treat _people_. Worry about your neighbors and strangers first.

If you have lost your faith to God and now you are following the dictates of the spiritual being who is on the darkness that you have no more intention to return to the call of God, you will not have everlasting life in heaven.Repent and ask forgiveness to God. Its not too late for repentance. You should thank God for giving you life.

Honey you really should find salvation through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You will feel so much better and you will know why we die. You will learn that our flesh dies, not our soul. I hope you would want your soul to go to Heaven. God Bless.

The reasons for living is to gain a body and learn and grow so we can return to our Heavenly Father. That is the whole purpose we are here on this earth.
