I read scientific journals for work all of the time. There is always something new and interesting going on to try to help figure out the complexities of our world and bodies.

Hmmm, a pastor's semon might actually have some good advice about how to get along with others, even if it's nestled among religious terms. The scientific journal could give you some factual information, but you'd need to make sure that the findings weren't being disputed.

Definitely, read a scientific journal! A pastor is in the fundraising business, so he has a vested interest in convincing you that there are demons everywhere.

the best thing is to ignore the pastor, read the holy book (all of them, bible, koran, vedas, etc) AND the scientific journals (all of them) and everything else you can get your hands on, and educate yourself, and form your own opinions as to what's true and what isn't. There's no such thing as too much education, but unfortunately, there's way too many people who are under-informed and spouting opinions as if they were universal truths.

If i listen to a pastor , my thinking will corrupt and i started believing on stories, myths ,superstitions, and fairy tales.. and in reality i will driven away more from nature/god.
if i read book or scientific journal, it will give me rational and logical feelings, i will think more on nature and i will be more close to nature/god.

Depends on what you are trying to learn. I would not go to a scientific journal for information on morality and ethics. Nor would I go to the Bible for information on the lastest developments in fiber optics or computer technology.

If you are going to read, you ought to read the Bible on your own.
But if science is your goal in life and not knowing God, then stick with your journal till the day you die.

Depends on your reason, for a bedtime story the pastor, for anything about the real world the latter.
