Unprintable profanities and obscenities are uttered in this section like there was no tomorrow. Is politeness no longer an American virtue? Do we have to be sarcastic and vulgar when asking and answering questions?

Is it blasphemy for Christians to read any of the great works of
these Philosophers :

Alfred Ayer,

Leonard Peikoff,

Mikhail Bakunin,

Simone de Beauvoir,

Daniel Dennett,

Paul Edwards ,

Friedrich Engels,

Kai Nielsen,

Allan Gotthelf,

Ragnar Redbeard,

Quentin Smith,

Tara Smith,

Max Stirner,

Jean-Paul Sartre,

Claude Adrien Helvétius,

Piergiorgio Odifreddi

Baron d'Holbach,

Friedrich Nietzsche,

Ilkka Niiniluoto,

etc & etc..

As all of them are "anti-god" atheists.

So is it blasphemy for Christians to read any of their work ?

for those that read my first question regarding this verse...

IF YOU CLAIM ITS OUT OF CONTEXT - THEN PUT IT IN CONTEXT OR STOP WITH THAT ACCUSATION.

Revelation 22:11
11Let him who does wrong continue to do wrong; let him who is vile continue to be vile; let him who does right continue to do right; and let him who is holy continue to be holy."

I'm Protestant and she is not. Nor is she Catholic, but for our purpose let's say she is. We disagree on almost every fundamental Christian doctrine.

Those who ask why we are married underestimate falling in love. We both fell hard. We were, at that time, able to share our beliefs and looked forward to the day we reached agreements. Worked well through a lengthy dating period, engagement and honeymoon.

In marriage, we have become further entrenched in our own beliefs.

The future is before us, and she wants to have children at some point. She was raised in her religion and wants the children to experience the same rituals and ceremonies she fondly recalls. On my part I wouldn't stop her, but the torment would eat me alive.

So...does anybody have their own story with an integrated message and a happy or sad ending? Or simply advice?

Thank you in advance!

You can pray that you get into a college before you open the letter. But you cant pray that the letter changes and you are accepted once opened and read. Same as people who are injured. You can pray that they recover. But you cant pray that a limb grows back after an accident. You can only pray for things that can not prove the existence of God. Think about it. You know not to pray for things that would prove his existence. Isn't this a little hypocritical. How can he only heal the ones that cant be proven. Why heal only the sick that can be healed and attributed to other means. Whats so horrible about healing someone when there leg gets blown off?

God's jealousy already made him throw his rival out of heaven. A good sportsman keeps the competition friendly.

We all know that God must be jealous of Satan, because Satan is the only competition.

Should God be considered a sore loser due to his treatment of his rival?

What I am questioning is why are there religious people, who can't accept that other people don't share their same beliefs.
(i.e.: When monotheists tell polytheists that they have invalid religious beliefs, and vice versa.. Not to mention tyring to convert non-believers, who just want to be left alone)

Also, I am questioning why there are agnostics and atheists who refuse to let non-hypocritical (please see the above sentence for an example of the opposite of this) religious people have their religious beliefs in peace, without trying to convince them to stop believing.

-On a side note, please keep in mind that I am neither trying to stereotype atheists and agnostics as all having the intentions of getting religious people to abandon their organized religions, nor am I trying to stereotype religious people as all having the intentions to covert non-believers.

Jesus taught that one who lusts after a woman has already committed adultery in his heart. If it is true that having lustful desires is on par with acting out lustful desires, then if one has "wrong" desires, would it not befit one to go ahead and indulge in "wrong" acts? Does God make an objective distinction between thinking and doing wrong acts?

My question is premised on the notion that God is unchanging. It is stated throughout the Bible.

Then I present the following two passages:
(1)For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth on him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
(2) And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
(This second passage leads me to wonder: perhaps there was a time when he didn't know that he was going to send his only begotten son?)

As for the unchanging nature of God, how do church people reconcile these two passages?

http://scriptures.lds.org/en/acts/2/37#37 I found this verse and i knew there was a connection or a paralel definition. but i also later learned that the secret society of skull and bones have a tradition of tapping people on the shoulder.
Now i dont believe in free masonry or skull and bones, i think they are connected to the false aluminati. So, is there a connection is the similar activity?
I hate satan and lucifer, and i hate being persecuted by every thing demonic or of devil worshiipers.
So i ask was it satan or even lucifer that appeared in my room or was it truly an angel or the holy ghost himself?
what i do know is that satan appeared to jesus like lightning and therefore becomes like an angel of light.
what i learned outside of christianity is that angels never cease to minister as long as there is faith and it was written that some people entertain angels unaware. I also know in the book of revelation it says that angels come and go with thunders and lightnings.
