A very interesting question.

The key is the sound doctrines you mention. They must be based on what God's will is. For this we must understand God's will through a deep regular study of the Bible. Most "Christian" organisations do not appear to do this, so it can be a struggle to find the right organisational conduit for true Bible knowledge. You could try looking at this web site which is run by Jehovah's Witnesses to see if what information can be found there makes sense to you.

the verse in the bible talks about fables, and how men will turn to fables instead of sound doctrines.

Sound doctrines used in that context implies that even though their generation was taught the truth from the scriptures they could not believe any of it.
Staying in sound doctrine therefore implies that if something is true we must accept it.

Sound Doctrine- the teachings of JESUS CHRIST!- Search the scriptures daily and continue in prayer that the Holy Spirit teaches us, that we do not lean on our own understanding- to keep in Bible studies and worship and prayer- going to a good bible teaching church. Filling our minds with the WORD OF GOD, which is the power of God to give us wisdom and root us in His truth....once we are sealed with His spirit and are fully grounded in His truth, we will not be shaken!
The Word of God equips us for every good work, just as the Bible says! It is our SHIELD and our SWORD! Amen!

Read the Bible, find a good, Bible-based church to attend, and pray. The Bible says the way of holiness is so plain that not even the crippled will fall on it.

Lift weights. I recommend a 4-day split in the 6-8 rep range. For example:

Monday: Back/biceps
Tuesday: Chest/triceps
Wed: Rest day
Thursday: Shoulders
Friday: Legs

Eat 500 cals over maintenance and take a week off after every 12 weeks. Train abs and calves 3x/week where possible.

Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you

by trusting and believing in the word as the power and authority of Christ. Allowing our thoughts to be directed by the Holy Spirit and not fine sounding arguments of man.......

I think you should know what you're talking about (read bible and study history of your religion and surrounding culture), but I also
believe in working to understand where others with apposing views, are coming from.

You have two ears and one mouth.
Use them in that proportion.

Sound Doctrines? When I think of Christianity the last thing that comes to my mind is sound doctrines.
