God's jealousy already made him throw his rival out of heaven. A good sportsman keeps the competition friendly.

Excellent question. shouldn't a supreme being be above ego. Why cast us to eternal hell just because we didn't worship him. Seems like he should not need an ego if he is all powerful.

In the Old Testamant, JHVH says "I am a jealous God." But, even assuming you are correct (because what you mean by jealous is not exactly what the Lord meant), but still, why would that be a downfall? Throwing the rival "out" didn't kick him out of the game, it just changed where and how the game is played. It's more like a "pro wrestler" who throws his competition out of the ring--sure, the fight becomes one of chairs and tables and "spectators," but it's still the same fight as before.

Hmmm...maybe it's the same fake fight as before....

God is not jealous, neither was Jesus and if you knew about Christianity you would know this. Jesus is truthful and holy and the only person on Earth who is or was actually pure. Real life is not a sport. Real life is something to live for, not fight over. The devil was thrown out of Heaven as a fallen angel. He betrayed God. The only way to Salvation is throught Jesus. It is the only way to an eternity not spent in Hell. God send Jesus to Earth to show us all that there is a way to Heaven, to a glorious place where we can spend eternity. Jesus is the Messiah, the messenger, sent here to show us how to get there. Through Him. This is the only way. He died on the cross beside 2 common criminals. He was not a criminal. He was persecuted because he was a Jewish man who claimed he was the Messiah and he was believed to be a liar. Instead he showed them eternity by showing them the way to Heaven. He arose from death after 3 days. This is not a game nor a sport, this is your life. If you want eternity not spent in hell, He is the only way.

I'm sorry, should someone you trust deeply betray you.. would you call that your own jealousy? Satan was banished from heaven because he was a traitor, had nothing to do with jealousy. I think you hit your downfall a while ago.

God's jealously is only the result of man's rebellion against him. God will win, and his children will win.
