Confucius thinking this is why

Since Confucius' time, the Analects has heavily influenced the philosophy and moral values of China and later other East Asian countries as well. Together with the other three volumes of the Four Books, it taught the basic Confucian values including propriety (禮/礼), righteousness (義/义), loyalty (å¿ ) and filial piety (孝), all centered about the central thought of Confucius – humanity (仁).

For almost two thousand years, the Analects had also been the fundamental course of study for any Chinese scholar, for a man was not considered morally upright or enlightened if he did not study Confucius' works. The imperial examination, started in the Jin Dynasty and eventually abolished with the founding of the Republic of China, emphasized Confucian studies and expected candidates to quote and apply the words of Confucius in their essays.

Many Asian countries are not very religious at all. Take China for Example, the largest populated country in the world, very low religious rates compared to population, and one of the lowest crime rates in the world.

No

China is a mainly atheistic culture now days (at least publicly if you know what I mean).

I think that people have a pull towards religion though, white, black, Asian, Hispanic, etc. The religions are different, but no one is more powerful than the other.

A person's race or cultrue does not make them more religious.
Asians are hard working, family oriented, but need to be honorable. My Korean family is not very religous at all. Some believe in Jesus, some respect Buddah

No, I think they are more religious because they are more superstitious. And they are not necessarily more religious anyway. You shouldn't speak for an entire race, just for yourself. That would be like me saying all asians are pompous as$es just based on you.

I have known many Asians, and I would conclude they are the least religious.

They are typically focused on success, not religious superstition.

More religious???????? Not in my rather extensive experience.

edit:

I mean really, how can you just post this assertion, I have lived in Japan, China, Hong Kong and Singapore, religion is almost totally absent in those societies, most people are too busy getting on with their lives.

I would wager that Asians are probably the least religious of peoples.

I did not know they were more religious. I do know they seem to be wise and have obsessive work ethics. Personally, I think we could all use a little Zen.
