The First Pope called himself a Catholic.
Muhammed called himself a Muslim.
L. Ron Hubbard called himself a Scientologist
Joseph Smith called himself a Mormon.
Jesus called himself...well, the Son of God

Do you see any difference?

...I hate being called religious :-)

"It is a disgraceful and dangerous thing for an infidel [unbeliever] to hear a Christian, presumably giving the meaning of Holy Scripture, talking nonsense on these topics; and we should take all means to prevent such an embarrassing situation in which people show up vast ignorance in a Christian and laugh it to scorn … If they find a Christian mistaken in a field which they themselves know well, and hear him maintaining his foolish opinions about our books [Scriptures], how are they going to believe those books in matters concerning the resurrection of the dead, the hope of eternal life and the kingdom of heaven, when they think their pages are full of falsehoods on facts which they themselves have learnt from experience and the light of reason?"

(Quoted by Francis Collin, Evangelical Christian who headed the Human Genome Project, but who accepts evolution because the "evidence is overwhelming.")

Islam honors all the prophets who were sent to mankind. Muslims respect all prophets in general, but Jesus in particular, because he was one of the prophets who foretold the coming of Muhammad. Muslims, too, await the second coming of Jesus. They consider him one of the greatest of Allah's prophets to mankind. A Muslim does not refer to him simply as "Jesus," but normally adds the phrase "peace be upon him" as a sign of respect.
No other religion in the world respects and dignifies Jesus as Islam does. The Qur'an confirms his virgin birth (a chapter of the Qur'an is entitled "Mary"), and Mary is considered to have been one of the purest women in all creation. The Qur'an describes Jesus' birth as follows:

"Behold!' the Angel said, God has chosen you, and purified you, and chosen you above the women of all nations. Mary, God gives you good news of a word from Him, whose name shall be the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, honored in this world and in the Hereafter, and one of those brought near to God. He shall speak to the people from his cradle and in maturity, and he shall be of the righteous. She said: "My Lord! How shall I have a son when no man has touched me?'
He said: "Even so; God creates what He will. When He decrees a thing,
He says to it, 'Be!' and it is." [3:42-47]

Muslims believe that Jesus was born immaculately, and through the same power which had brought Eve to life and Adam into being without a father or a mother.

"Truly, the likeness of Jesus with God is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, and then said to him, 'Be!' and he was." [3:59]

During his prophetic mission, Jesus performed many miracles. The Qur'an tells us that he said:

"I have come to you with a sign from your Lord: I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it and it becomes a bird by God's leave. And I heal the blind, and the lepers, and I raise the dead by God's leave." [3:49]

Muhammad and Jesus, as well as the other prophets, were sent to confirm the belief in one God. This is referred to in the Qur'an where Jesus is reported as saying that he came:

"To attest the law which was before me, and to make lawful to you part of what was forbidden you; I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so fear God and obey me." [3:50]

Prophet Muhammad emphasized the importance of Jesus by saying:
"Whoever believes there is no god but Allah, alone without partner, that Muhammad is His messenger, that Jesus is a servant and messenger of God, His word breathed into Mary and a spirit emanating from Him, and that Paradise and Hell are true, shall be received by God into Heaven. [Bukhari]

Mathew 27:46
"And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, 'Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?(My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken me?')
This is accotding to Christians assumption that Jesus cried in a loud voice saying the above words while he was being crucified. This is a great insult as such words could only come from unbelievers in God. It is incredible that such words should come from a Prophet of God because God never breaks His Promise andHis Prophets never complained against His Promise.

Mathew 23:8 B
"But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your master, even Jesus, and all ye are brethern."
Here it is clearly proved that Jese was servant of Allah, and that there is only One Master and HE is Allah.

John 14:15-16-
"If you love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father and He shall give you another Comforter that he may abide with you forever"/
Muslim theologians have said that "another Comforter" is Muhameed, the Messenger of Allah.

If God is more extraordinary than a pocket watch, and we've determined that a pocket watch requires a watchmaker, then wouldn't God require a Godmaker?

Or is God less extraordinary than a pocket watch?

Consider this statement:

People who go to the funerals of fallen servicemen with signs that say "God hates fags" are misusing freedom of speech.

That statement contains the phrase "God hates fags". Does that mean my question is in violation of the Community Guidelines? How much do you want to bet Y!A will take it down, since they don't quite get the idea of context?

I could understand that Protestant Christian Church came out from Catholic church. I know Catholic church also believes in Jesus as Savior, Trinity. However, according to the Bible, no words should be added to the Authority (the Bible), and we should not worship Idols. And yet Catholic church is full of idols, and they have some book called RoseMary (if I am not mistaken) and they worship Mary, and called "holy mother". What is your take of that?

Recently, Assyrians worldwide were horrified to hear the news of:
the alarming trend, reported by the United Nations, that although Assyrians comprise 5% of Iraq's population, they also comprise under 40% of the refugees fleeing Iraq (October 2005)
the crucifixion-murder of a 14 year old Assyrian boy near Mosul (October 2006)
the beheading of Father Paulis Iskander in Mosul (October 2006)
the bombing of over 15 churches across Iraq, from Basra to Baghdad and from Mosul to Kirkuk (August 2004, January 2006, September 2006)
the kidnapping and murder of 13 Assyrian Christian women in Baghdad (August 2006)

CAI believes this humanitarian crisis may be reversed with the formation of an autonomous zone in Iraq for Assyrians and other Christians. This zone, called the Nineveh Plains Administrative Unit, will allow Assyrians and other Christians to practice their faith, speak and teach their language, and work their land without fear of persecution.

When Christians make the sign of the cross, they say, "The Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost" If Father is God and Jesus Christ is the Son of God, then does that mean that Christians have two Gods?No offence, just curious.
And whose the Holy Ghost, Angel Gabrial?

So.

In about the last 30 years, the morals in America, along with God, have gone down the tubes.

God has been taken out of public schools
Pornography is now a 2 billion dollar market
Freedom is somehow now defined as doing whatever you want, when you want to.
Crime rates (murder, rape, larceny) are way up.
Homosexuality represents 1% of the American population and they are being supported all over the place by the media.
Canada just legalized gay marraige! (I just wanted to say that)
A strong majority of teens hate thier parents
Drug usage is up
Gang violence is soaring
Many video games are more disgusting day by day

So uh... don't you think the country should re-instate a moral code instead of worrying about a select few people demanding rights?

Or a better question, why doesn't the supposed ''50% christian America'' stand up for it's rights instead of watching our country self destruct?
