Clay Aiken put his hand over some public media figure and she (jokingly) said "I dont know where your hands have been" and Rossie Odonald (however you spell her last name claims that the owner of the mouth Clay Aiken Touched was against homosexuals, do you think that america with go through a phase of complete social integration and acception for all cultures, races, sexual orientation, and religion? Explain why or why not please. I guess, though I dont want to, I'll pick the best answer by tommorrow.

I am having a hard time with this. Should I lie to my daughter and tell her there is a Santa? I know when I found out I been lied to by everyone I knew and was scammed by everyone it made me not trust anything in life. I really think learning there was no Santa and that I was lied to by everyone I loved for 7 years of my life or so really messed my outlook on life up.

Is it better for a child to have something made up to believe in even though we are lying and instead of teaching morals ect we are teaching out kids to lie.

Or would it be better to always be truthful to a child and let them learn the life lesson that you have to work hard for everything you get. Nothing is free and that lying is not right to do no matter what and you can trust your parents no matter what.

Also Another point. We are celebrating the birth of Christ by breaking a commandment. Thou shall not lie.

Sounds pretty messed up on many parts.

by suing that airline? What was his point? Couldn't he have just made a nice phone call to make a request? Did he have to go on national TV and make a specticle? Are Kosher Deli's now going to be required to have a Christmas Tree set up so that all religions are covered?

It's true. Every civilization ever uncovered there has been some form of a center of worship. So does this get your gears turning to actually think that there actually may be a God out there...even those who believe in A-biogenesis had to admit there had to be a creator to create the first cell or whatever it was in order for it to happen...

It seems like everwhere i turn there is a liberal or so called progressive chasing down christians or christmas. In the media, in the courts, polictians, schools. Why is that if you bash a christian you're patted on the back, but if it's a muslim we kiss there *** in fear. Or if it's Hindu, buddist, or a Jew & the list can go on ....It's a big deal & congress & FBI have to get to the bottom of this verbal injustice.

That's my question. It seems that so many people, whether pro-choice or pro-life, have varying opinions as to WHEN it becomes wrong, anywhere from day one to the end of 40th week. And the reasons for abortion seem to make a difference for some as to whether or not it should happen. For example, I think if the mother's life were in jeopardy, say as in a tubular pregnancy, then there is no question here; you don't let the mother die. The baby (fetus) must be taken.
But back to my question, there must be a point when it should not be done for the sake of convenience (and I'm not talking medical studies here). Does anyone really know when that is?

Since we don't have definite criteria to go by, the 2nd part of my question is.....Isn't better to be on the safe side, and grant life, just in case the timing is wrong?

For those who feel they need to vent hatred or unintelligent remarks, go for it. But I'm looking intelligent responses on both sides....I know some exist.

If yes, what happens to it when we die? Does it roam as a ghost, get reincarnated, or do you believe in heaven/hell? Do you believe that we are cells only that survive because our heart beats, our lungs breathe, our brain functions, etc....? Do you believe that when we die, it's curtains down and there is nothing left, that we simply cease to exist? All religions welcome to answer. This isn't asking what religion you are....just what your true beliefs are. Thank you all!

Most people, due to human nature, are very susceptible to the threats and bribery of religion in regards to their 'soul', and its promises of a heaven or an afterlife. Do you think this brainwashing prevents most people from revolting and doing away with suppression?
Does "turn the other cheek" and "the meek shall inheret the earth" and other such nonsense help to keep people 'in their place'?

Could the lack of revolution fairly be called "political order"?

As I read the Koran, it says in Surah 18.86 that the sun sets in a muddy pond at the end of each day. Is this supposed to be literal truth since Mohammed said it, or is it to be read poetically and not literally? (I thought all Muslims believed the Koran to be literally correct in every word) Is that true?
