Here's an extract i found from another thread:

"Ham and his wife Semeramus had a son named Cush who started the city where Babel was built. Semeramus married her son and they had a son named Nimrod who built the tower in Babel plus founded Ninevah and Babylon. They began a religion together that has lasted the ages and influenced all others even today. The tower he built was an observation tower. Nimrod knew certain things astronomically were about to happen and this knowledge would be hinder certain things later that God needed to people to not know about. When God saw what Nimrod was about to figure out he stated there is nothing hid from him and destroyed the tower. He caused everyone to forget the one language everyone knew and left them with just sub dialects from it.
I wont go into what Nimrod was about to figure out or what his influence in the ages has become."

What was Nimrod about to find out and why were the languages confused and scattered?

I've struggled with religious faith for years. Being raised Roman Catholic and going to a catholic highschool had left me feeling somewhat forced to believe in things that I question now that I'm older and allowed to think for myself. I currently have no belief in any God, however I find myself at times questioning him directly because of habits I picked up early on. When in fact I think the whole idea of God and Jesus is naive. None the less, we all need to have faith in something. I ask this question in ignorance because I haven't really done research into other religions. Are there any religions based on the teachings of real people, who actually existed? I prefer teachings based upon a physical reality, the nature of things. Whatever can be touched, smelled, heard, seen and tasted. The five senses and their relation to the four elements. In all of theses things I sense truth. If anyone can help me at all it would be truly appreciated.

Does this mean snakes had legs before the garden of Eden and when did they stop eating just dust? Never seen anything on the Discovery Channel before about snakes with legs. Or even ones that eat just dust for that matter.

Is God getting lenient in his old age?

The Huleatt Manuscript was written in 50 AD and is actually a prayer addressed to Jesus and calls Jesus "God".Therefore, Christians have in their possession archeological inscriptions within 20 years of Christ’s resurrection that say he is God.

My question is: Do you know of any archeological inscription dated within 100 years of Muhammad's death where he is called a prophet? If so, please name it.

List some books that you think refute Christianity the best, whether logically, scientifically, etc etc etc. I've already got Age of Reason by Thomas Paine, but what else would be a good read? And I said books, not websites.

ause they don't want a new herd of perverts burdening the court system? What is the age of consent where you are? Do you think the Justice system treats sex crimes way to lightly? Do you think it is terrorism when the courts give incurable sexual deviants, house arrest, in a residential community? Do you think the Judges (who cannot be Dethroned) are perverts themselves?

Hello Yahoo! Answerers,

The universe keeps making parts of itself alive. Then, we die and become a dead part of the universe. A new life will have feelings. If we prepare a future with good feelings, a new life will have good feelings. If we prepare a future with bad feelings, a new life will have bad feelings. A new life will be made not with your thoughts, nor memories, nor personality, but will be made of new feelings. Who will feel that if not the dead part of the universe made alive?

Best regards,
Pedro Bessa

ok forget Muhammad. here is Jesus who have never married, never declare war, he was jewish as you claim, he born in a miracle, provide many miracles and evidences. he lived in jursalem what else do you want ? and you still reject him. it's not about Muhammad, it's about that you r too stubborn to believe.

by the way David and Sollomon had more than one woman, declare wars, and were kings but that never stop them from being prophets from God.

Jesus Said" There will be signs in the sun, the moon and the stars and on earth, nations will be in dismay, purplexes by the roaring of the sea and the wavers. People will die of fight in the anticipation ofwhat is coming upon the world. for the powers of heavens will be shaken and then they will see the Son of MAn coming in a cloud with power and great glory. but when these signs begin to happen stand erect and raise your hands bec. your redemption is at hand.
"Beware that your hearts do not become drowsy from carousing and drunkeness and the anxieties of daily life and that they catch you by suprise like a trap. for that day will assault everyone who lives on the face of the earth. be vigilant at all the times and pray that you have the strength to escape the tribulations that are imminent abd to stand before the Son of MAn."

An Indiana University Religious studies professor, Kathryn Lofton, studies the Oprah TV phenomenon.

Lofton said ,"Oprah’s self-described movement virtually always comes down to spiritual change through material gain and self-indulgence, rather than sacrifice. “She relentlessly turns people back to themselves with messages like, ‘If you buy yourself that skirt it will make you feel better and if you feel better, it’ll make you a better mom,"

“We talk in class about how to define a religion and ask what are we looking for when studying a religion,”

When I studied Oprah, I found that, yes, there are absolutely ritual practices. And, yes, there is a creed.

Old saying: "A bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush".

Is Oprah's gain today "A bird in hand" while Christianities
totally unsubstantiated promises, based only on faith, for an afterlife nought but "pie in the sky"?

Have you bought the Brooklyn Bridge lately also?

Foreskin>>> the extra skin on a man's penis.

A passage in the Bible where David uses foreskin as a form of currency. David kills 200 Philistines and brings their foreskins to Saul to buy his first wife Michal (Saul's daughter). Saul had only asked for 100 foreskins, but David was feeling rather generous.

1 Samuel 18:25-27

Saul replied, "Say to David, 'The king wants no other price for the bride than a hundred Philistine foreskins, to take revenge on his enemies.'" Saul's plan was to have David fall by the hands of the Philistines. When the attendants told David these things, he was pleased to become the king's son-in-law. So before the allotted time elapsed, David and his men went out and killed two hundred Philistines. He brought their foreskins and presented the full number to the king so that he might become the king's son-in-law. Then Saul gave him his daughter Michal in marriage.

ABSURD!!!!!!
