Congratulations.
I have really good news for you.
You already are a non-Christian.
Because if you knew Jesus Christ, you would never want to leave His side.

The American Atheists have a great number of books that can lead you I the right direction and most of the books listed for sale at their site should be available at your local library, unless your library is controlled by Fundy Christian censor freaks.

Bertrand Russell, "Why I Am Not a Christian" comes to mind.
As far as traditional theism goes, read David Ray Griffin's "God, Power, and Evil," which shows decisively that traditional theism cannot answer the problem of evil. He is a theist, however, and proposes to overcome the problem by reconceiving many elements of traditional theism (omnipotence, omniscience, etc.).

Why be a hater? Can't we all appreciate what Christ has done. If to better yourself with the dark side for mere understanding, then I understand. Although I feel Christ shan't be refuted. And the further you follow that dark alley, the further you have to walk back.
