Sleeping in a stable, that's terrible customer service. Bet they weren't even offered a discount when they settled their bill.

Given there were no other rooms available anywhere else in Bethlehem, I guess Joseph and Mary were just relieved to have somewhere, anywhere to stay, especially as Mary was in the process of having a baby. Perhaps the innkeeper who said they could use the stable didn't charge them anything. He may have been a genuinely good guy who wasn't interested in taking advantage of others. Anyway, according to Matthew, after Jesus was born he got a shedload of valuable gifts from three wise men from the east. Nice of you to be concerned but God had it all under control.

They were giving birth to the Savior of Mankind, I hardly doubt they were concerned about the bill and customer service.

They probably charged them more by giving it a name like "The Nativity Suite"

They should have booked in advance. It is always busy around the festive period and unless you have made a reservation you wont get in.

Most biblical scholars feel there was no manger, but that Jesus was probably born in a cave.

For your information: the story of the manger is totally INVENTED. Nowhere, neither in the Bible, nor in any other ducument of that period there's any mention of a manger;)...Jesus was born in a HOUSE.
