Apparently, Ive read from various sources that either Ham castrated Noah whilst he was drunk, which led to Noah placing the curse or that Ham had sex with Noah's wife whilst he was drunk and as a result a child occured, called Semiramis. Can someone please explain?

What?

All the bible said was that Ham saw Noah in his tent, naked and drunk, and told all of his brothers about it, laughing and judging. So, Noah cursed him. Stick to Genesis.

The classic commentaries strongly suggest that Ham castrated his father. His reasoning was that he and his two brothers would inherit all the earth and thus it will divided 3 ways. If another brother or brothers were to be born, that reduce the size of each brother's inheritance. Ham sought to prevent this.

It's interesting to note that it was Ham's son who was cursed by Noah. Noah and his sons had received the blessing of God. So Noah's curse couldn't trump God's blessing. The grandkids, however, were not so blessed and susceptible to a curse.

That's all made up crap.Ham disrespected his father.Take the text for what it says.Noah got looped and crashed out ,Ham walked in ,Noah was laying there spread eagle with his junk hanging out and Ham laughed about it.Shem and Japheth took a blanket and covered him up.That probably was a pattern in Ham's life.Noah had enough and cursed him, after he got over his hangover.I don't think you can connect Nimrod's wife Semiramis to Ham,she may have been a granddaughter or such.It is possible that Shem killed Tamuz, Nimrod and Semiramis' son.The legend of Hercules is based on Shem(Sem in Egyptian)

Genesis 9:18-29 covers the story you are referring to.
Ham "saw his father uncovered in the tent." It refers to Ham seeing his father's nakedness, but it is unclear what the precise meaning of that is, or what actually took place in the tent. Some Bible teachers allude to a homosexual act, citing that Noah awoke and knew what his son had done to him. But the text is vague in that regard.
However, the offense was severe enough to curse Ham's son Canaan.

Yes I will.

Lev 18:8 The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.

Twice for emphasis, Ham is the father of Canaan.

Gen 9:18 And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.

Gen 9:22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.

Gen 9:24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
Gen 9:25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.

Isn't it clear when God's Word speaks to you, rather than man.

Apparently, Noah was the first tiller of soil, first to plant vineyard, first to get drunk, and the first to lay around naked. His son, Ham, went to cover him up so Noah cursed his son with slavery. (Genesis 9:20-27)

That's news to me. What's your source.

What I recall is that Noah got stinking drunk and passed out naked. He woke up with a hang over and a killer headache and cursed Ham for having the decency to cover him up. There's gratitude. For details see the book of Genesis.
