People tell "white lies" all the time all over the world, you do I do everyone does.
White lies keep society functioning. Politically Correct to tell white lies.
If people did not tell white lies there would be more hurt feelings then there are now in our personal life and well as at work. It is called getting along with others.
People do not like hearing the truth, therefor this is where white lies come into play.
Your friends outfit is just awful, but your friend really likes this outfit, even bragging about it. She asks you what do you think? Not wanting to hurt her feelings, you tell a little white lie...
Someone gives you a present you feel is just horrible, do you tell that person it is horrible or do you make up something to tell the person it is a very thoughtful gift? A little white lie....

Why do you call them white? A lie, is a lie, is a lie. I love telling lies. I tell whoppers too. Most every one do. I love to swear an oath that I will never tell a lie then just go and tell a whopper. Why tell an ugly person they are ugly? It serves no purpose to hurt someone with the truth when it can be avoided with a lie. xx

No lie is harmless. It's against God, everytime! It's a transgression, and the work of the devil. Yes, sometimes we do lie to satisfy someone, or to prevent ourselves from getting into trouble, even if it's minor trouble, but still, it's a lie. The devil is the author of lies. Sadly, It's just one more thing that separates us from God.

i don't understand a white and just a lie. they are all the same under Gods eyes he conmands we shall not lie. no exceptions white, green purple they a lie is still a lie and that makes a sin.

But we can rid lies from our lives, they are not necessary or good in ANY instance.

I think so. Sometimes the complete truth can hurt someone unnecessarily. I think it was Dr. Wayne Dyer that said "If you have a choice of being right or being kind, chose kind."
