If God is more extraordinary than a pocket watch, and we've determined that a pocket watch requires a watchmaker, then wouldn't God require a Godmaker?

Or is God less extraordinary than a pocket watch?

Read the blind watchmaker by Richard Dawkins and all your questions will be answered. Personally I think the idea is of God is more Amazing(Even though I'm an Atheist) because God had to be created in the minds of someone at some time..and it simply baffles me how people can actually believe that he is real. Or any God or Gods for that matter...To think that 1 god created the universe and really wants his creation to go to heaven..yet he allows so many different interpretations of him...then he allows some of his supposed followers to kill other people who don't believe....it blows my mind. Some people in this world don't even know what a watch is. But as far as religion goes..it doesn't matter how deep in the jungle you live...some missionary will be there telling you how much God loves them and doesn't want them to have sex without protection or walk around naked.

Dude, it's gotz to be God. I've seen dozens, hundreds; hell; herds of pocket watches roaming the great plains of Canada's far North, but I've only seen God once every while; and Dude; God doesn't screw around with little gears and springs inside a chased silver or gold case; God screws around with peoples lives! Extraordinary that God would bother considering the Godlike power that God has over all and sundry inclusive to bending both time and space as God sees fit, but there You have it. God just fills in the days as God sees fit, where as a pocket watch, even a whole herd of pocket watches; just keep time and eventually, sadly; run down.....

This is the reason I am an atheist. Complex entities don't "Just Happen". They are ultimately the result of selection effects. The definition of god as a creator of everything precludes that. Therefore I do not believe in gods, it's that simple.

Dude, too many white Russians for you.

My father is a watchmaker by trade, but he's not God. I know that because I've been to the toilet after him.

God is more extraordinary because he is the one that requires no maker.

GOD is either THE SUPREME ARCHITECT OF THE UNIVERSE or THE GREAT MYSTERY. just look at the glories and wonders in the Heavens and on the Earth and see for yourself.
