The seperation of church and state. So forgive me for being a little forward, but what your god thinks doesn't mean a damn thing to anyone in this matter. What this country stands for is NOT your Christian or Catholic morals, it's freedom and equality. So if everyone is equal and deserves freedom who are you to tell anyone they can't get married based on your own personal values? If he doesn't like it then the priest doesn't have to marry a gay couple, but that has nothing to do with the court, so you can't stop them from getting married.

Now I believe this country does lack the moral values that it needs, so we can agree on that. (but I don't think being gay has anything to do with a personal choice or is a bad thing at all). However we do NOT need God or Allah or Buddha to teach us those morals. The government can promote being a good person completely godlessly, keep all 10 of your commandments to yourself. Can you find a flaw in my logic? I can't.

I ask this question as I have seen and heard alot of people convert to Islam but have never heard of an atheist converting to Islam. People who convert are perhaps from other religions and so already believe in God, which perhaps makes it easier to convert, as they know that a God already exist.

Why did God make certain humans so unbelievably beautiful and smart and talented and others so surprisingly ugly and dim-witted and talentless? And why did he make most of us a range of in between, average and afflicted with any number of disorders and diseases. If we were all made so "perfect" in his image, why are we so faulted? If he could do anything he wanted to, why not make us all exactly alike? Are our personalities and our physical characteristics and personal attributes and afflictions also the work of "the fall", "satan"?

Iv been looking online and reading the Bible for the past couple of days trying to find out how exactly Catholics beleive Armageddon will come..

Someone told me of a war with Iran,Russia and alot of other countries invading Israel and its allies, and 1/3 of the population of Earth being killed during this war, but then God comes down and saves Israel and its allies..

But in the passages iv found in the Bible it talks about an Anti-Christ coming and starting the War and sending angels down to set flame to the earth, then covering it w/ snow and opening Hell..And it talks about the Final Judgement and sending the Anti-Christ and sinners to a Lake of Fire and then connecting the Heavens and the Earth and Living Peacefully in etirnity...

Could a fellow Catholic or Christian tell me the actual beleifs of the Church? Which one of these is right? Or if they are both right, what passage does it talk about this Final War for the Holy Land (Israel)?

If adam and eve were the first two people on the earth and they had children and their children had children then the only way for them to do this was to have sex within the family. So how can the bible say incest is wrong when as far as you belive the world was populated through incest?

Signs of the end of time:

“What will become of you when you do not enjoin the right and forbid the wrong?” Prophet Muhammad asked.

[Those around him asked in amazement:] “Will that truly happen?” “Yes, and even worse!” he replied, and went on to ask: “What will become of you when you enjoin the wrong and forbid the good?” Those around him were astonished: “O Prophet! Will that also happen?” “Yes, and even worse!” he replied, and continued: “What will become of you when you regard good as evil and evil as good?” The people around him asked: “O Prophet! Will that also come to pass?” “Yes, it will,” he replied. (Ibn Abi Ya'la, Musnad; al-Tabarani, al-Awsat)

The hadith (Report) states that good is totally confused with evil in societies that are far removed from religious values. People are regarded as naïve for doing what is right and exhibiting proper moral values, and those who trample on others' rights in their own interests are regarded as clever and competent.

I get together with a guy every few weeks and he’s had a tough life. He was raised in a Christian home and was a committed Christian. He says he was a nerd growing up. He was abused at home and was picked on at school and church. Even pastor’s son would beat him up. As a young man he started losing his eyesight and was hospitalized. His parents, pastor and “friends” told him that God was punishing him and that if he prayed and repented God would heal him. He would know he was forgiven when he was healed. He never was healed (he is blind in one eye). He became depressed and suicidal. He was committed to an institution. There he was raped repeatedly by a worker. He literally escaped and started living on his own.

He says, “God hates me.”, but he’s afraid to give up on Christianity. He says church or even hearing the name Jesus makes him feel physically ill. What do you say to this sort of person? Would a loving God send this guy to hell if he can't make his peace with Christianity?

We already know that the Hindu Jesus is a naval gazing wimp and that the Jewish Jesus at best is a misunderstood Rabi, and at worse, the son of a Roman soldier if his existence is even accepted at all.
