You, or those who read and believe in the Bible as the Holy Word of God, do not worship the Bible. It is a history life on earth, God's chosen people, history of Christianity, and general guidelines to an honorable life while on this earth. It is, I believe, based on the Dead Sea Scrolls which were discovered and interpreted. Did all the books found get interpreted correctly and published in the chronicle we now know as the "Bible"? That debate is in the ranks with Jimmy Hoffa's body and King Aurthur's Knights. If you want a better bible story, however, feel free to write one since I do not believe God will sue you for copy-write infringement.

You mean "to use in worship"? Because I don't think that someone is supposed to worship the Bible.

And who are "the holy people" of which you speak? I'm not saying that they don't exist. It's just that I don't think that His Holiness the Dalai Lama would be asked to contribute, and in my eyes/heart/mind, he's near the top of the list of holy people living today.

Don't think that's true and wouldn't recommend it. The Bible is the truth about our whole existence. You can't rewrite that.

P.S. - You can't worship something that comes from a time where there is more evil in the world than before and where every commandment has been broken and all of Jesus's teachings are doubted and rejected by many.

It depends. I don't consider and person holy, so I'm not sure who would write it. Perhaps instead of deeming it as holy writing it could just be called " A Christian Guide to Living" . I think that might make the world a better place

No.
First of all, the Bible is the inspired Word of God. God is the Author. He used chosen men of faith, whom he had inspired, to write the Book. There is no "holy person" worthy of even thinking of such a task and to do so is blasphemy to God.
Secondly, people are not to worship the Bible. They are suppose to read it and apply it to their life. We are to worship only God.

there are no holy people. holiness comes from God. The pope is not holy. neither is your preacher. neither is any member of the clergy. they are all sinners and have no authority to write a book which will be the cornerstone of western civilization. I am sure the pope will agree with me. Anyway, God's standards do not change. why should He write another book telling us the same thing?

If your looking for modern day revelation from God, I believe it exists. Why would a God who loves us give the people of the Bible a Prophet and not us. Do we live in more rightous times, that we don't need a Prophet now? Does He love us less than He loved the people of the bible? Check out The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It's a religion that just makes sense to me.

Well, no, because the Bible has a lot of people's personal experiences with God recorded. You can't just throw out all of those records, and have a "better" book.

I certainly believe that such people could have something to add, though. I don't believe God is done speaking to people yet.
