Jews do not believe that Jesus was the moshiach. Assuming that he existed, and assuming that the Christian scriptures are accurate in describing him (both matters that are debatable), he simply did not fulfill the mission of the moshiach as it is described in the biblical passages cited below. Jesus did not do any of the things that the scriptures said the messiah would do.

Before the time of the moshiach, there shall be war and suffering (Ezekiel 38:16)

The moshiach will bring about the political and spiritual redemption of the Jewish people by bringing us back to Israel and restoring Jerusalem (Isaiah 11:11-12; Jeremiah 23:8; 30:3; Hosea 3:4-5). He will establish a government in Israel that will be the center of all world government, both for Jews and gentiles (Isaiah 2:2-4; 11:10; 42:1). He will rebuild the Temple and re-establish its worship (Jeremiah 33:18). He will restore the religious court system of Israel and establish Jewish law as the law of the land (Jeremiah 33:15).

The term "moshiach" literally means "the anointed one," not "savior." The notion of an innocent, divine or semi-divine being who will sacrifice himself to save us from the consequences of our own sins is a purely Christian concept that has no basis in Jewish thought.

No. The Jews do not believe that Jesus was the messiah, or that he will come back. He was simply a prophet. Nothing more. And for anyone that may not understand, the Jews belief in the messiah is NOT the same as the Christian belief in a Savior. The Jewish messiah will NOT be a Savior, and will not be the son of G-d or even a diety at all. He will simply be a man who will lead the Jews to peace.

No. the Jews do NOT (this is just to clarify some confusion here) accept Jesus as a prophet either. He has no part in the Jewish Doctrine or Canon. Jews do not believe that the prophesy of the "messiah" was fulfilled in Jesus.

Most Jews, not all, don't have a large opinion of Jesus, whether as Lord or as prophet, and I doubt they believe in His second coming.

However, they do await the Messiah.

this could be a competent question. I even have debated this with a number of human beings an i will inform you that what they say is purely "you do no longer understand the previous testomony such as you think of you do". they're perfect. i do no longer understand the "previous testomony" like the Christians. that's their e book. The Torah is ours and how we interpret that's been exceeded down in direction of the a while. Jesus fulfilled not one of the prophesies so he can not be the Messiah and no, there's no longer something in the Torah concerning to the Messiah coming a 2d time.

Jews dont have Jesus as there Messiah. They are waiting for the first one. More of a militant messiah. They more likely will wait for George W Bush, before they wait for Jesus. But George Bush cant be their Messiah either.

The jewish do not believe the savior has yet come at all. Jesus was a prophet to them. They believe in him, they just don't think he was the savior.

I hate to break it to you, but I don't think he's coming back. Even if jesus did come back we'd probably just think he was crazy. If a man walked up to you and said, " I am the one and only son of God." what would you say?
