Porn addiction is just like alcoholism. If you really and truly want to turn over a new leaf, you will do everything in your power to stop this addiction. Only you can help yourself. God is there watching you but you have to take the active part in abandoning your pornographic addiction. It requires strong determination and commitment never to look at those things again. Pray for guidance all the time and get rid of all the pornographic materials as well as the sources of these bad stuff.

Yes, God loves all His children, including yourself. So try to do only those things that will please Him.

It isn't that God isn't helping you, but He is pretty disappointed in you for getting into it in the first place. I suggest you seek help, and soon, before you are on the road of no return. There are Christian websites to help you, I suggest you google them, there are several, and begin NOW to change your life. Keep praying, but make sure you have repented and ask for forgiveness for what you've done. You need counseling too, because porn gives you a wrong view of women and that will affect every relationship you have with a woman. God still loves you, but He wants you to get this out of your life. Do it today.

Yes, the Lord still loves you, but you need to make yourself set aside the porn and get help, whether through the Church or through professional counseling. There are quite a few ministries out there that specialize in sexual addiction.

Have you ever given your life to Jesus? If not, that is the first step to getting His help. If you have, you need to repent of your behavior and rededicate your life to the Lord.

Also, know the Lord is able to totally deliver you from this...but you have to take a few steps first. Praying is good, but if you don't put the rest of your options in motion, the praying won't do you for you what you are hoping for. Keep praying, but get help.

If you want, email me with your email address and tell me your city and I will see if I can locate a good ministry there to help you.

God loves you but not the sin!

The Bible says "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you!"

God does not wave a magic wand, you have to show that you really want to be delivered from this, so you have to do your part, by resisting.

Watch your thought life - don't entertain bad thoughts. As soon as they come, think about something else - something in God's Word.

Don't buy magazines, and don't go looking for them when you go into a newsagents.

Don't go onto those sites on the internet, or switch the television off or to another channel if something of a porn content comes on it.

You see, there are many things you can do to help yourself, and when you are obedient in that, then God will help you to overcome by the Word of His power.

Write this verse on a card, and carry it in your pocket or wallet.

But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3 v 3.

Faith comes by hearing, and by hearing the Word of God.

There is nothing you could do to make God love you more and there is nothing you could do to make God love you less. That is why he died for you. Because he loves you so very, very much. Do you think he would have gone through the pain of the cross if he didn't truly desire you?
I know how terribly debilitating addictions of any kind can be. And this is not an addiction that the world looks down upon, which makes it that much harder.
I will be honest with you. I do not know how to overcome addiction, I still walk that road and wonder myself sometimes if I really ever will overcome. People tell me to take my sin more seriously, they tell me that God hates my sin and I know that. But that doesn't make it any easier to stop. All I can tell you is what I tell myself and what I feel God has told me.
And that is, as the song says,
"My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in heaven He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart."
Or as the Word says,
"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" Rom 8: 37-39
I have a faith that is faithful to me, that is all I know. I know that God loves me and I cling to it as if it were life and breath, because it is.
One last thing. This verse has helped me tremendously in my struggles. It reminds me that this life is not the end and that I have a King who fights for me always, who wants me to overcome and who accepts me just as I am:
"It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son." Rev. 21: 6-7

Of course He still loves you. The Bible says nothing can separate us from His love. As for the porn thing, you are talking to the choir here. It finally came down to my will being given to Him. But let me add an additional benefit. When you get past it you will find a relationship with God that will blow you away. His presence and blessings will become so clear that you will wonder why you didn't give it up sooner. Believe me, I am a recovering pornaholic.

Of course he still loves you, and the feeling that He doesn't is one of satan's favorite lies to keep you feeling hopeless.

I really suggest you read "Clean Hands ,Pure Heart" by Philip A. Harrison. It's a religious book with a 12 step program for overcoming addiction to Pornography. I have a couple of friends and loved ones going through this book now, so I've read some bits of it. Phillip A. Harrisom himself was a porn addict, and he talks about the process he went through in shaking it, and has a number of writing exercises for you to do.

You may also want to talk to your eclesiastical leader about recommending a good counselor that shares your values.

Best wishes!

God has and always loved you, but he can only help you if your effort is strong enough to knock your addiction down for the 10 count.
Though it may still bounce back, keep seeking God and he will give you the strength and words of wisdom to win the fight.

P.S. - Remember, He's in your corner watching every move you make. (Sorry, didn't think it would sound like boxing) Good Luck!

And think of the love of God for those who also are depicted in the porn: the actors, the directors and crew, and the distributors. Consider spending time in church with each of them, sitting in the pew next to them, taking communion, serving on the church worship committee. Your God can love you all, and you can still love yourselves. But I doubt the porn is very useful in helping you grow.
