I saw someone say this in response to a question about whether we're here because of natural, unthinking processes (i.e. abiogenesis and evolution) or the actions of a deity... But the fact is we *are* here, and life is as it is *regardless* of where we came from, so why can't we regard it as a blessing either way? Would religious folks really feel their lives to be devalued in some way if they came to realise that we are indeed a 'cosmic accident' (as people love to say)? Personally, I don't see why they should.

When my younger sister was a child no older than 4, she just learned the song Jesus Loves Me. Well, when the pastor was delivering his sermon, she got up and started singing Jesus Loves Me as loud as she could. At the end of the service, the pastor took my mom aside and suggested that she didn't come back to his church again, because her child was disrupting the church. We never went back to church after that.

For what I've come to know, most Christians either believe God to be genderless, or a combination of both masculine and feminine. but still give God a gender by referring to God as "He". If this is so, and accepted, would it also be accepted to refer to God as "She"?

Why, or why not?

Only by destruction and death will we of the true faith convert. By sword and bomb, and the moderate Arab apostates who continue to defile the Prophets teachings will be smashed into a bloody pulp. Submit and live, foolish ones!

Yes, this is really old news, but I don't care.

If I were Christian, I would probably find it odd that the actor portraying Jesus in The Passion was struck by lightning.
