Yes, this is really old news, but I don't care.

If I were Christian, I would probably find it odd that the actor portraying Jesus in The Passion was struck by lightning.

Yes it is strange. Makes one wonder if it's a good sign or bad sign. Considering he survived I'd say a good one, since most people don't. Or at least not with their health intact.

Great publicity for the film - - - now if only someone would perfect a time machine and rearrange Mel Gibson's drunk driving citation for the week before the premiere then wow that would have lightning strike number three. Peace.

I'd say thats probably what you get when you strap yourself to a staff, on top of a hill, during a lightning storm.

Now if he was struck by lightning on a sunny day, then I'd think twice.

Smoke coming out of his ears and wasn't hurt. Darn and a second hit, all on one shoot. Its no longer the Passion by the way, somebody else with more money has claimed that title. does anyone wonder why God sent Jesus to the Jews?

or maybe it was a test of the mans commitment to portraying to part of the real Dude. While the actor was hit by lightning, they also hit him with the scourge in that sequence.

I believe that its more than a coincidence......he wasn't really potraying Jesus as he was, we know that, for he was not the son of god, but a prophet who leads us 2 and tells us about Muhammad(PBUH).
