Children learn from parents. Many parents are members of communities of faithful believers self organized around a religion that propagates a belief in a good one in heaven at war with an evil one cast down to and ruling over Earth. From these communities of faithful believers and a culture that as whole caters to their sensitivities, children learn to think, believe and expect that a good one in heaven commands good boys and girls to work all the hours of the day; be fruitful and multiply; reject sex for occupational, recreational and or homosexual purposes; object to sexual education that could make these practices safer; and above all fight these and other 'evils'. The net result being our global culture is dominated by communities of faithful believers that for thousands of years now have motivated members to out work, out number, and out fight competition in a race to a prophesized final conflict between good and evil some call Armageddon.

Ive seen it countless times, the same exact rant put to every question that involves evolution. Its hard to believe you are actually capable of coming up with intelligent answers when you just copy and laste them.
Is this just another case of religions repeating things in the hope that we will just accept them as fact?

the idea behind the islamic deity Allah seems to have been formed after the ancient moon Goddess Al-lat. This is what i have studied by reading arabic literature and even the quran. Quran very clearly links allah with the moon goddess.
in fact its good that muslims honor a moon goddess, but why do they behave in such a extremist manner?

If the Bible is the instructions needed before leaving Earth, then why do astronauts go through years of educational courses in addition to years of training? Why don't they just read the Bible?

whichever can get you to heaven assuredly after 3 minutes holds the truth...let me know

To clarify: I'm annoyed that Christians, especially, seem to think and readily claim to be responsible for civilisation because of their associations with seats of learning. Actually, the church has a history of suppressing secular science and the knowledge and understanding it has discovered.

This is so hard to talk about even where no one knows me. I've got to get some releif though. When I was younger i went to far with an older guy. I am still Physically a virgin. I don't feel that way. I know I did something that didn't please God and it haunts me everyday. I've prayed, and I know That I'm forgiven but I haven't forgiven myself. I was so immature when it happened and it changed me. Everything leads me back to then and I just keep repeating it in my head. I don't know how to let it go and I really need to. How can I forgive myself

Sunan Abu-Dawud Book 38, Number 4348

”Narrated Abdullah Ibn Abbas:
A blind man had a slave-mother who used to abuse the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) and disparage him. He forbade her but she did not stop. He rebuked her but she did not give up her habit. One night she began to slander the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) and abuse him. So he took a dagger, placed it on her belly, pressed it, and killed her. A child who came between her legs was smeared with the blood that was there. When the morning came, the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) was informed about it.....................
