I hear a lot of Muslims saying that theirs is a peacefull religion and yet everyday there things happening that seem to indicate exactly the opposite.

Reports of people being killed for converting from Islam.

Muslims who commit Terrorist acts for their belief

I have also heard that many Muslim leaders around the world say it is the responcibility of all muslims to convert non believers or kill them.

So much Violence in the world today is perpetrated by people who proclaim that their actions are simply what Allah is commanding them to do.

And it is not just one or two fruitcakes. There seems to be a huge number of muslims who proclaim this violent religion.

Who should I believe? If some of this stuff is true (like converting or killing non-believers) then we all should be worried.

I would really appreciate some inteligent discussion on this with comments backed up with facts not emotional ranting please

One girl told him bluntly: “My mother says violence never solves anything.”

“So?” Mr. Dubois looked at her bleakly. “I’m sure the city fathers of Carthage would be glad to know that. Why doesn’t your mother tell them so? Or why don’t you?”

They had tangled before – since you couldn’t flunk the course, it wasn’t necessary to keep Mr. Dubois buttered up. She said shrilly, “You’re making fun of me! Everybody knows that Carthage was destroyed!”

“You seem to be unaware of it,” he said grimly. “Since you do know it, wouldn’t you say that violence had settled their destinies rather thoroughly? However, I was not making fun of you personally; I was heaping scorn on an inexcusably silly idea – a practice I shall always follow. Anybody who clings to the historically untrue – and thoroughly immoral – doctrine that ‘violence never solves anything’ I would advise to conjure up the ghosts of Napoleon Bonaparte and the Duke of Wellington and let them debate it. The ghost of Hitler could referee, a

Alright, so I got hammered (with misinformation by the way) in my last question by people who *do not* believe in evolution even though the question was for people who *do* believe in evolution.

So, my question to you in return is; if people are using evolution in the lab to create new things would that be proof enough for you?

In the lab, completely observable, completely new things being created as the result.

What more proof could you ask for?

People say as if in denial that God will truly never send anyone into Hell ever because he loves us. He loves us it's true and he also loved us so much that he sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ to save us(John 3:16) (from hell). Ever since the fall of man through Adam all have fallen short of the Glory. Every one is effected by Adam's sin, because everyone(future generations) were in his loins when he ate the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil. Man is weak and can not stand merely on his own(so he needs God). Before the saved people who followed God in the old testament would go to paradise when they died which is in hell, but the top of Hell which is the place where there is no fire and they were okay there but couldnt go to heaven because they were not clean yet. Jesus was incarnated into flesh( exactly like a man, but sinless) to take the place of man, to suffer and die for our sins.

Since science is based on naturalism and rejects supernatural explanations ( Like God, miracles, creationism, afterlife, angels, unicorns, and other biblical concepts), isn't it actually anti-bible and anti-Christ as well. Is a christian scientist an oxymoron in this post-modern age? Shouldn't our culture be based on the word of God, and not the wisdom of man? God said it, I believe it, that settles it, amen?

u can believe there is no God. just because u cant see Him, u deny Him. what about air? we cant see it, yet it exists! if u deny Jesus and die, ure screwed for eternity . youve denied your only chance to Heaven (salvation through Jesus alone--not good works). you've denied your Creator, and yet you believe tabloids left and right. you've been sucked into the cesspool of lies Satan conceived. you've believed whatever you want. God has clearly shown how to get to Heaven, and people are just too stupid to get it throught their hard heads. you can deny, laugh, doubt, whatever. however, the good ol saying goes "reap what you sow!" if you fall into that broad category of going to hell, i suggest you turn to Romans. more specifically: Romans 5:1, 6; Romans 8:2; Romans 10:9-10, Romans 11:6. your eternal fate is probably hanging in the balance as you are reading this. many born-agains aren't men and women to stand up to Satan, but I am a man, and I will fight for what I KNOW is right!

If Satan/the Devil is responsible for all the evil in the world, as some believe, doesn't that throw the idea of free will out the window? Technically, if a person does something immoral, can't he/she just say "the devil made me do it", and remove any personal responsibility from him/herself?
